For Arizona CCW renewal issues, FYI.

I submitted my renewal August 06, 2013 and as of September 08, 2013 I had not receive a reply. I called Phoenix, asked about the new permit, and was informed due to my common name the regular automated clearance did not work. I informed the contact person that I had received renewals like clockwork since the 1990’s; she replied it might take over 70 days. Surprise, surprise, I received the new permit on September 10, 2013. I would suggest anyone with a renewal coming up to monitor the return.

I teach AZ, VA & FL Concealed. Keep in mind when renewing don't expect miracles. I, along with just about every student, had a wait time of 60 days + for original permit. Longest next is Florida. Quickest & easiest by far is VA. 2 week turn around time on original permit. VA has a 45 day limit on time to issue. If they have not processed in that time, and have no good cause to deny, they have to issue a temporary. All States are different with their back logs etc.

WA is almost the same way. 30 day time limit for residents. If the background check isn't completed by then oh well, they have to issue it. If something pops up later they just revoke it. I think the time limit is 90 days for non-res though.

Dude.....18,100 year wait...Holy ****, are you a wizard?

Well, guess I should realy check my work and not multi-task, that is to say chew gum, type, chat on cell, and view Pawn Stars, thanks for the heads up. I shoot better than I type.:flirt:

I am well pleased with the turn around time for mine and the Arizona politics, VA for 2 weeks is great.

Please be happy you don't live in IL. We finally get the CCW law passed and now our state police is having problems approving instructors and curriculum for the class. It is a cluster f..k out here.

Nobody in this world is obligated to help anyone. With this in mind, I am usually on top of matters like these because I don't trust the clerk, secretary, etc. handling my paperwork correctly. For anything important, be your own best advocate. Glad you got your permit renewal.

I shoot better than I type as well. However, I never typed a big hole into my monitor.
