For .380 acp owners

Like it or not the .380 acp is one of the most popular guns. Many people own them and many carry them.
So let's hear from .380 owners, what make of .380 do you own? Why do you like the .380? Is it your main carry gun or a backup? How do you carry, pocket or holster? What carry ammo do you use?

And anything else you might want to say.

I don't own a .380 but I don't believe in bad mouthing any caliber or gun size simply because what works for me may not work for someone else for any multitude of valid reasons ... and vice versa.

What I do consider of paramount importance is not the caliber or the type/size of the gun itself but how accurate the person using it is because any bullet that hits makes a hole... but any bullet that misses, regardless of how big it is, does not make a hole.... and when shooting to save a life only holes count.

Carry on..

.380's are easy to conceal. That is why I own two. I carry a Ruger LCP in my hip pocket everyday. It is my backup year around. That said there are days in the summer when it is so hot that I don't want an extra shirt to cover another gun, so then it is my only carry gun. During the winter I also carry either a snub nose 38 special or more often a Bursa Thunder .380 in my coat pocket. During most of the rest of the year I carry in a belt holster at about 4 o'clock. That could be almost anything. .357 mag, 9mm or 45acp or the same Bursa. All of which I shoot much more accurately with.

I, like many others, have the LCP. It's a primary carry in hot weather because it is light and easily concealed in a pocket holster. It's a back up in cold weather.

Are you being sarcastic? I can only find a couple boxes whenever I go to the shop to get some. Many times I can only find off brands....
We've had a stock of it thru this whole mess. And sold several .380s because of it. Hornady, ATK reman, Speer/CCI. The only one we have run out of is .22LR.

I have a Bersa Thunder .380 and after shooting 200 rounds of ball ammo I only shoot Hornady critical Defense now.
The Hornady shoots really well, low recoil, low muzzle flash, and feeds well. I alternate between my Thunder .380 and my Bersa Thunder .32 for carry. I don't feel out-gunned with either.

I like my .380 because it is small. It is not my EDC. I use it primarily when I'm going out for a quick trip to the store or gas station and not wearing my jeans. The gun is light and does not try to pull my shorts down. I use a IWB holster mainly because the shorts I wear for a quick trip don't have pockets. I use Hornady Critical Defense.

The 380 is a great caliber, very reliable. It is use for the police in many countries. What is vey important is that you choose the correct gun. There is a lot of people buying chips 380 and then blaming the caliber for their inaccuracies. A lot time ago I tested one keltec (p3at) the pocket model and immediately understand why people are blaming or talking bad about the caliber. I have and carry a Walther PPK. Great construction, great material, great accuracy. EXCELLENT GUN.

I own a Bersa Thunder .380 it is one of the first pistols I ever bought. I think it is a good little shooter I think when I bought it I gave $300 bucks for it and it was new. When I do carry it I carry three additional mags for it since it doesn't hold many rounds. It is also one of the easier pistols to practice quick draw with. I have never had any issues with it and it eats all ammo I have put into it. I have several firearms so I switch up the caliber of firearm that I feel like carrying. I have also carried it as a back up pistol for extra fire power after all you never know when the zombies will invade. One of my favorite firearms to carry even though it ways in at a stout 32 ounces is my Beretta Cougar 9mm with two 15 round magazines. I don't like the weight of it but it is one of the best feeling firearms you will ever hold in your hand.

Prefer Taurus because their grip fits my female hand much better than so many others. My Mil Pro 9mm (3rd Gen) is definitely my favorite but it's cumbersome for CC, so I have the TCP Series PT-738 for a really comfortable CC. My other 'pea-shooters' are the PT-22 and PT-25.

I have a Bodyguard .380. I carry it all the time in a IWB holster. I load my own...Speer Gold Dot

I own several .380's! First one is my Kel-tec P3AT. Owned it for 10 years. Its now retired, in a safe, did not like the way it felt in my hand, or shot. Ruger LCP own 2, (long story) Mostly carry the LCP. Feels good in my hands, and not bad to shoot. Carry it in a Remora IWB. The one I have that I love is my Sig P238 Equinox. This one is a joy to shoot, little larger than the LPC, but more accurate. Has great night sights. Lacking on the LPC or P3AT. Carry that in a Remora also. Just sold a German made Walther PPK. Loved that gun also but it did not like me, every time I fired it I got bit by the slide. It was a lot heaver than the rest, thus never carred it. I live in Las Vegas, retired, and wear shorts most of the year. Have not had the problem of finding ammo yet, (knock on wood) Thinking about getting a Kimber Solo, or a Sig P938 (both 9mm) I also own a Kel-Tec PF9, to me its lacking.
Mostly think it's a cheep gun. Out of all if I had to make the choice of just one to keep it would be the Sig P238. But I shure would miss the LPC.

I have a Ruger LCP that I use as a BUG. I use hornady critical defense ammo. Great little gun.

My wife's favorite pistol is her Bersa 383A. She can't always carry that so she usually has a BG380 because it's more concealable. Me, I never leave home without my LCP in my pocket.

Hello all, new to the forums here.

I own a Sig Sauer P238 Nitron and it is my EDC weapon. I carry it with Critical Defense and two extra magazines and I love it. It's easy to conceal no matter how I carry but I prefer IWB appendix carry. My two spare mags are 6 rounds and the one in the gun is a 7 rounder for a total of 8 rounds total in the gun. I'm pretty confident in my choice of carry and I don't feel like carrying anything bigger everyday especially on those hot Texas days.

I carry Ruger LCP most of the time.

Bersa Thunder Plus is my choice when I am OWB carrying when wearing bulkier clothes. That is a double stack with 16 rounds. I feel better armed with 16 rounds of 380 than 6 of 45.

Of course, my 1911 comes along during times (like hunting) when I am not so worried about printing or incidental exposure, or open carrying, but that's not a .380.
