Sent my non resident package to Florida after carefully looking everything over 42,000 times. Come back from a 2 week vacation and there is a big envelope from them. Inside was my finger print card and a letter saying that I didn't write the LEO agency that took prints on upper right back of card. I wrote it in there and provided reciept from when I had them done and spent another $4.05 to send them back certified  I hope someone reads this and finds it useful because I read everything and totally missed it! Have a great day!!!

that sucks but after they get that info it should only be a 7 - 10 day to get your permit mailed back
best wishes
i had to clarify some stuff to which i faxed to them and got mine today! less than ten days after they got the extra info they needed

They got my prints back in their office today, so it shouldn't be long. I wouldn't have even sent them back had they not cashed my check already because since then I got NH and it got me the 3 states I needed. I don't think FL will give me but two more states and I never intend to even visit those states. Oh well, I will have it if needed. Thanks for the reply

Sent my non-res app over thirteen weeks ago. After about four weeks I had to send another print card, my town's new police chief screwed up the first one, and went on to screw up the second card too! It's now been well over seven weeks. I called Monday 7/1, still processing. Ye gods, can't these people at the FBI move faster than a crawl. It's a wonder that they catch any BGs.

They are much too worried about law abiding citizens having guns rather than catching the real BGs.

One time when renewing my Florida Permit I had a Fingerprint Agency do my Prints. They sent it back and said a L. E. had to do it. DHAAAAA I went back to the City I retired from and had them do it.

Was this to Florida? Because The Agriculture Dept. processes CWP.

After two bad print cards, they have to wait for FBI check--of which I've had over a dozen in the last 20 years--you'd think that would count for something.

It only counts if your file is sitting on an agent's desk. And that can cause some strange reactions from gov't agencies that expect a clearance to enter to take two weeks and it gets given in under 10 minutes.

Same thing happened to me OP... the agency I usually went to for prints forgot to put the rubber stamp on the card that they normally used. As was said above, though, once I sent it in, it was only another 10-12 days before the permit came back, so that's cool. You should be okay shortly. :)

oh, crap. there is no department in my area that does inked prints, the have gone to digital. I found a place that does fingerprints, drug testing and such in our area and had them do my prints. Am I going to have issues? I just mailed off my application yesterday.
