Florida Concealed Carry

I was just wondering if anyone knows what lead-times are running in Florida right now. The wife and I drove to Tallahassee from the Gainesville area 2/24. We had heard that submitting your application at a state office gets your permit far faster than mailing. Monday will mark four weeks and we're still waiting. Drove the ten miles to the post office today and no permits (although my new American Rifleman was there). The state gives you a "tracking number" with your receipt. You can go to their web site and type this number in but this is useless. It does not provide status for YOUR application; it merely gives you a message telling you that the state has 90 days to process your application.

I guess we just need to be patient and, when they get here they get here.

Funny...I don't think the bad guys have to wait, do they? Hmmm.

Took me almost 12 weeks to get mine and I had to call several times just to get someone to talk to me!!

Thanks for the response. As I said, we went to Tallahassee because we heard that it could get your permit to you in a matter of a few weeks
- and it works for some people. I guess we need to just be patient.

But, as i have asked before on this forum and elsewhere...how long do the BAD GUYS have to wait for THEIR permits???
