florida carry to indiana--now live in Indiana and want transfer (In resident) of perm

Have a florida carry permit ,but, now live Indpls, Ind..How do I change address and continue permit now have??

Not 100% but if you do not own a home/property or live in Florida than the State of Florida will not renew it when the time comes. Also you need to check with the state you live in now for there rules and apply for that state carry permit ASAP.

You can get a FL non res. I use to be from IN. It's not a big deal to get one Go to your city or county cop shop (In county you go to the sheriff if in city limits go to city police.) I know some are doing them are online you just have to check.

Call or go online and update your address. That will change it to non resident license.

I moved to Kentucky a few years back and all I had to do was notify/change my address. I believe I did it on-line and kept a record of doing so. You can submit an updated photo and go through that trouble or let it be. I will caution you though. In the State of Kentucky, once you become a residence your Florida CCW is not valid in Kentucky. I had obtain a Kentucky CCDW permit once I became a resident. I had to forgo carrying for six months. So, you may want to look into this in Indiana if you are carrying, you may be doing so illegally. I have maitained both Kentucky and Florid permits.

Your Florida permit is no longer valid in Indiana.

his permit may not be acceptable in IN but it is acceptable in many other states

When you move and it has not expired, it becomes a non resident license once you make a change of address.

I would apply for a Lifetime Indiana permit so you can carry here in Indiana, and do your Change of Address for your Non-Resident Florida so you can carry in more states than just having the Indiana Permit allows for. For instance, your Florida will allow you to carry in Ohio, but my Indiana doesn't...

And remember, you can only carry while in your vehicle while in Illinois unless you pay them for a non-resident Illinois Permit...

One you become a resident of Indiana, you must apply and obtain all your Licenses from Indiana: Professional, Drivers, LTCH, etc. No other State's License transfer. Go for Indiana's Lifetime license to carry handgun (LTCH). Indiana is a Shall Issue State, so unless you're a bad guy, there should be no problems.
