First handgun

I'm looking at getting a handgun for the first time. I want something small but not to small, I still want it to pack a punch. Please give some ideas and advice as to what to look for. Oh yeah something not super expensive. h34r:

Sounds like you are looking for a sub compact. You can't go wrong with a Glock (G26 or G27) your best bet is to go to a gun store and feel a variety of them, to see how they feel to you personally. Better yet find a store that rents them and test them. Anyone can tell you what the "best" gun is but its ultimately up to you and what you feel comfortable with. Good luck!
