First CCW

Getting ready for my first CCW and gathering all possible info...My budget is limited to about $350, so I consider these three guns-Ruger LCP .380 auto, S&W Sigma 9mm with Laserlyte or S&W Sigma .40(all on sale at Gander)..Are you aware of any ongoing problems with those guns??..The Ruger LCP seems to be the best to conceal, but the accuracy might suffer..Aren't those two other guns too big to conceal??...I'm 6'0", 210lbs and would like to wear it on my chest under left armpit..Is the Laserlyte easy to remove when I don't need to use it??...I already have a S&W .38 spl 4", but prefer to carry a pistol...I'll appreciate your suggestions!!

I would go with the Ruger LP 9 laser. Good gun and fires well all the time. I haven't heard any problems with this gun and have many friends that have the 38 and the 9mm

my 2 cents is stay away from the sigmas, too many issues with those guns, lcp might just be ur best bet, they also sell a laser for it should you want that option.

also might not want to shoulder holster such a small gun, lcp's are pocket pistols and can be carried with a inside the waste band holster if you dont want to pocket carry. either way find a quality holster.

+1 I would personally stay away from the Sigmas. S&W service is top notch as I found out with sending my 40 back twice to get it to extract and eject. Sold it for a Glock. I have an LCP and an LC9 and love them both.

Ok, new here and trying to find the right place to post this but I think this will work. I just applied for my CHL but am in VA so have no problem with open carry. Does anyone have the Sig P250 for EDC? I am on the fence between the Springfield XD .40, and the Sig P250 compact .40, have not been able as yet to shoot the P250 yet but will before making a final decision. Absolutely loved the feel of the XD, plus not to shabby shooting for the first time in 6 years. I have seen a lot of mixed reviews on the p250, so i guess feedback is what I'm looking for? Have been sifting through threads but have yet to see anything.

Hubby carries an LCP in a pocket holster. He's been quite happy with it, and has no issues at all with accuracy - he shot expert level in the Army.

I have a P250 and absolutely love it. Despite what most say I had little to no problem getting used to the guns DAO trigger. It shoots straight and after 100 rounds no misfires, jams etc. To be quite frank I bought the gun on a whim. Buds had a great deal and I sucked it up sight unseen. I usually don't do that but couldn't pass the deal up. I carry a Glock 19 but, I am thinking about switching to the Sig still undecided how I will carry it probably the same as my Glock which is a Crossbreed super tuck. Haven’t experimented with or haven’t gotten that far yet but, I really like the gun a lot.

I'd go with the XD, awesome guns.

In the future though, don't post a new thread in an existing one. That's called thread hijacking and it "not nice".
