How can I become a fire arms instructor please can anybody recommend courses or associations please.

This is the way I started.

The NRA is the best first step. Become NRA certified in (at least) Basic Pistol and Personel Protection in the Home. Once you can teach BP and PPitH, you can teach other stuff.

I also recoment going to Gunsite or Thunder Ranch of Front Site (or all of them).

The more classes you have been in the better instructor you will become.

There are many organizations out there that provide firearms training, and may even make you a "firearms instructor", however the most widely recognized "National" organization (as well as in some foreign countries) would be the NRA.

 

[Pistoltraining]

In michigan, for Concealed Carry ,the only accepted national organization is the NRA. The state has MCOLES. I wasn't aware of any other national organization that was out there that Michigan would recognize.
