Firearm Quality Glock 27 vs LCP?

From an overall firearm quality perspective, which is better a Glock 27 or LCP?

If I won a giveaway contest and had my choice of a free LCP or free G27, I would take the G27 without hesitation. But I consider this not to be a fair comparison because the 2 pistols are very different.

If I were to pick from a Glock 27 or a Ruger lcp, I would probably pick the Glock. Both are great gun manufacturers. But you are trying to compare 2 totally different guns. Ones a .380 the other is a .40 cal. Kinda hard to compare quality and which one is better with your 2 choices.

I personally have the G27 and it's awesome. If you do decide to get one, definitely spring for the Pierce Extensions. With it's shorter barrel and subcompact frame, the grip is also quite smaller, however, with the grip extension it allows you to get your pinky on the grip and gives you a lot more control due to it being a .40 cal.

Thanks for the advice.im not much for the extensions due to I don't really use my pinky when I shoot. I like the smaller butt, alot easier to conceal. I've put alot of thought into either the 26 or 27 and I believe im heading more to the 26. This will be my new primary carry gun, there fore I plan on putting a ton of rounds through it. 9mm is alot cheaper. I already have the LCP and i love it, wouldn't trade that little beast for the world.

I own both & I like both weapons but I have to give the edge to the 27 just for the simple fact that the LCP has such a long trigger pull.

I'll add a bit - my first carry was a G23 because after comparing size of the G27 with extension, the G23 was very close and carried more rounds. And in other posts I have said if the choice is G26 or G27, they are both the same platform and I prefer the .40 over 9mm. I now carry the G30sf because it's is not much different in size or weight than the G23. If you are looking at a G26 with no extension, go for it - with a G26 and pinky extension, I would also look at the G19 (again same platform as the G23).
I won't comment on which round is better or whatever - obviously the 9mm will do the job, as proven in Florida. But I am a big bore person (some say just a bore ) and only reason I don't carry a 10mm is due to the power, for me it creates a problem in target reacquisition for the 2nd and 3rd shot.
Bottom line, it's a Glock - very few are sorry they bought a Glock.

I have both. Comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges. They're two entirely different critters. Each has its place and is used accordingly.

I have both. But, you can't compare apples to oranges. Two very different and distinct weapons in different calibers. Both have their place in the CC world and both in different adaptive carry considerations. If I had a choice if someone was going to give me one or the other, I would take the Glock.

I own and carry both. Glock hands down. Like others have said it is hard to compare the two since they are different size, caliber etc; but the Glock is much higher quality.

Wow, thank you all for your comments. I was interested in the quality perspective mostly, because I own a G27 and am thinking about getting something smaller. I have previously purchased years ago an AMT .380 "backup", and frankly it was a piece of $%#@, so I was wondering if the LCP would be any better? I know the quality of the G27.

Like most have said I have both and I both are great guns. If a B.G was trying to break down the door the first gun I would grab would be the Glock 27.

I carry a G26 IWB and have an LCP in my front pocket (in Blackhawk #1).

As others have already said, the two pistols are nowhere near the same, so comparison is hardly possible. However, "In Glock I trust."
