Female and Tiny... How Should I Conceal?

I'm 5'5" and really tiny. How should I go about concealing a firearm? I don't want to keep it in my purse. I want it on my person.

My wife uses a Ruger LC9 in a velcro belly band. She's 5'7" and about 118 pounds with no body fat. Thin profile heater hides very well under most stylish womens clothing, including tighter waist-length sweaters. The belly band keeps it nice and tight. I've rarely been aware if she's armed without asking.

Fem & Tiny, wife has a Ruger LCR .357 Magnum. I think LCR is light carry revolver or something. Waistband might work but she opts for purse since Ruger has no external hammer to snag onto anything. Glock33

I'm looking at handguns, but haven't decided on one yet. What gun I get probably depends on where I decide to carry it. I've looked at the Kel-Tec 380, the Glock 36, and a couple others that are smaller. I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl with an athletic build, so I don't have a lot of curves to help conceal anything. I'm thinking small of back might work, but I've heard its very uncomfortable.

Also, try Dillon on line for a few ideas on items, Midway, or the local sporting goods/gun shops. My daughter has several I gave her for her Glock 26. One is a Day-Timer type of c.c. looks like a "To do" book, the kind we use in the office, with a zipper. Lots of options.

My 2 cents....

I carry in the appendix position. My shoulders are wider than my waistline so the drape of a casual polo shirt or plain T-shirt [my everyday wardrobe] conceals just fine. I originally tried carrying just behind the hip, and it rides just fine there except that when I bend over or reach for things then the gun will print. Appendix position avoids both these pitfalls for me and I also like the logic of this article: WARRIOR TALK NEWS - Appendix Carry

I have a Kahr MK9--which is my favorite...it just feels absolutely right in my hands--and two more compact pistols. I would advise you to find a gun you like and are comfortable with (and have faith in), but to look to those handguns that are thinner...like the Kahrs (all of them), some of the Kel-Tecs, the smaller Rugers, etc

For your reference, I am female, 5'6", and [still] fairly slim.

First; welcome to the forum.
Second: A huge that a girl for wanting to carry on person.

You should be able to carry a small firearm IWB in almost any position. But, I would suggest trying AIWB.

A lot of ladies really do prefer this method above all other "on-body" methods of CC. Personally, I would not recommend SOB carry at all. It really not nearly as comfortable as AIWB and you will have printing & safety issues to contend with.

Don't buy a Kel-tec wifout shooting it first. The trigger pull on the one I had made it impossible to keep it on target. Shoot any gun B4 you buy. Gi to a range & rent some models. Ruger has always done me right. Never had a bad Ruger get what U pay for. But Ruger is priced competitively.

That Flashbang holster looks slick. I've been trying to come up with something for girls to CC while running. I wonder if the weapon would bounce around when running?

Nightshadow, Find a gun you like and that you can shoot well. Everything else will fall into place. If you are a Jeans and T shirt kind of gal, you should be able to conceal most any gun you want to. Being very petite may not be bad at all, as nobody will suspect you of carrying. I think AIWB is a good idea, with a flat tummy there would be lots of room for your favorite gun! good luck and hope you find the magic fit!
