Federal Judge Ruling on RIGHT TO CARRY (Take Note NY Judges)

I hope Judge Boller in Erie County is aware of this ruling because he's in violation of the Second Amendment with his arbitrary rejections of 'personal protection' permits.

<<A federal judge has ruled that Maryland's handgun permit law is unconstitutional.

In an opinion filed Monday, U.S. District Judge Benson Everett Legg says a requirement that residents show a "good and substantial reason" to carry a handgun infringes their Second Amendment right to bear arms. He says it isn't sufficiently tailored to the state's public safety interests.

Plaintiff Raymond Woollard was denied a renewal of his permit in 2009 because he could not show he had been subject to "threats occurring beyond his residence." Woollard obtained the permit after fighting with an intruder in his Hampstead home in 2002.

The lawsuit, which names the state police superintendent and members of the Handgun Permit Review Board, was also filed on behalf of the Bellevue, Wash.-based Second Amendment Foundation.

I always hear "shall not be infringed" being quoted. I think that the necessity of gun registration is a two-edged sword as it is. It can serve a purpose but can also feel like a restriction. But I have always believe that getting "permission" from the gov't is absolutely against the spirit of the 2nd A.

Here's my take on this though I am conflicted. When I think of the 2A and States Rights I think of the abortion issue.
I am going to stay away from the moral issue of this topic though there will be many that say that can't be done, I understand but just go with it.
There is absolutely nothing in the Constitution that gives women the "right" to an abortion. Therefor it should be left to the states residents. If state A outlaws abortions but it is legal in state B then go or move to state B if you want one.
Now as far as the 2A and the Feds. The Constitution's Bill of Rights is what Barry O complains about as a negative set of rules which says what the Gubment can not do, such as not "infringe" on our RKBA. So if it is read and interpreted as intended the central government (Washington DC) can't stop us from our RKBA.
Now what about "States Rights". I guess here is the problem. The States say they have a right to "regulate" through gun laws but doesn't that "infringe" on the 2A unless the 2A only restricts the Federal Government?
All I know is when it comes to the Second Amendment there is a whole lot of "infringin' " going on!
