Nothing helps. You live with it, and it gets worse as you continue to lose hearing. Skull base tumor radiation damaged left cochlea, toxic poisoning damaged both sides. A small price to pay, compared to the physical suffering of many. The brain truly is in chaos when hearing is lost. Replacing hearing with tinnitus of all sorts seems like a cruel joke.

I do not know how they can tell if you have tinnitus or not. It does not make sense to me.

I have it as well and was lucky enough to have it documented in my service jacket. VA should make their decision soon. As well as major documented hearing loss at my mid and high ranges.

Same here! They say I don't and there is no way I can prove that I do. Sometimes it almost drives me crazy. People who do not have tinnitus do not understand anything that we have to go through and suffer!
