@gkeil961: Welcome to the USA Carry site. I think you will find a lot of useful information here (I know I have!).

I too have a Blackhawk Serpa holster, and I have nothing but good things to say about it in terms of functionality. One question: if you are planning to use that holster for CC, does it conceal well?

For my body type, I cannot conceal using the Serpa holster. I do use it at home for when I open carry. For home, I also like the Fobus holsters, which are similar but do not have the finger release.

A few years back there were some complaints about the Serpa holsters in terms of safety, but from everything I have read about the matter those that had accidental discharges had their finger in the trigger guard before they had their gun on target. Ergo, shooter error--NOT holster design issue.

Again, welcome and be safe!

So how's things up there in the frozen North these days? (Myself, born in Sandusky and lived my childhood in Lakewood and Avon Lake.) Managed to escape early, before Dennis the Menace became our Congresscritter. (Or even before he was Mayor of Cleveland, for that matter.)

Nice to see that Ohio is "getting with the program" at any rate.

Welcome aboard, all "ribbing" aside.
