Election 2010

Got Beretta's?
A Thread for NY USA Carry Members to discuss the candidates running in New York and their stance on Gun Control. This is the year you must get off your rear-end and actively work against the anti-constitution progressives no matter if they are a D or a R. I know there are other issues besides Gun Control. But without the Second Amendment all the others are meaningless.

If we loose it, it is because we allowed it to happen.

IN the Senate Kirsten Gillibrand has been corrupted by Chuckie Schumer. Her pro-2a stance was removed from her website after catching Hoplophobia from Schumer.

Now there is a possibility that she may be challenged by Harold Ford Jr. in the primary.
Here is his record.

Supports Second Amendment rights. (Jan 2006)
Voted YES on prohibiting product misuse lawsuits on gun manufacturers. (Oct 2005)
Voted YES on prohibiting suing gunmakers & sellers for gun misuse. (Apr 2003)
Voted NO on decreasing gun waiting period from 3 days to 1. (Jun 1999)
Rated F by the NRA, indicating a pro-gun control voting record. (Dec 2003)

I have asked the Tennessee Thread if the guy can be trusted.

As far as Schumer goes, he will probably run unopposed again and be able to make the same claim that Noreiga and Saddam Husein made. I was elected unanimously!

Any pro 2a voter should check the write in box and write in the name C. Heston. Perhaps if there are a million C.Heston votes is may get his attention. Can you hear us now Senator?
Don't leave it blank unless you totally trust your election officials. Remember ACORN is getting a couple of billion from Obama. They will probably change their name for the next election but leaving a ballot blank to me is an invitation for fraud. Yes C.Heston is dead but as a protest vote I think it make a point.

After seeing the Progressives go "ALL IN" with the Thousand Page Bills written by Obama's people, it is time this year to get involved more than you have ever done before.

Don't even get me started on the NY Legislature. They must all go just to be replaced by other crooks but at least a message will be sent.
CAN YOU HEAR US NOW!!!

I know she's not running this year but Kathy Hochul should NOT be getting our support. It now takes 12 to 18 months to get a RESTRICTED pistol permit in Erie county. Since Kathy Hochul has been in charge of the Erie County pistol permit office, the wait time has almost DOUBLED from 6- 8 months to 12-16 months! Kathy Hochul worked for John Lafalce and Senator Moynihan. Moynihan was one of the most rabid anti-second amendment Senators in US history. He wanted to tax ammunition at 1000% and firearms at 10,000%! Kathy Hochul was his legal counsel.

Also, look into defeating the judges who are restricting our permits for no reason at all. This may be our best chance to get pro-second amenedment politicans and judges into office and finally start to turn things around in NY.

SCOPE of Erie County has been a huge disappointment. They support County Clerk Hochul with an "A" rating depsite the documented abuses from the pistol permit office under her control. Once again, permit issue times have DOUBLED since Ms. Hochul has been county clerk. Shame on SCOPE.

Good luck everyone. The For Sale sign is up and I hope to be moving to a pro-second amendment state soon. Take care and best wishes.

Although a candidates views and record on firearms can influence my vote, I'm not a one issue voter.

I'm concerned with Ford's claim that he would be a "wall street" senator. He apparently thinks the majority of voters in NY want a candidate that will toss salad for wall street.

Gillibrand is an upstater. We haven't had an upstate senator in a long time.

Those are just some of the factors I would take into account in addition to their gun stance.

I don't expect any candidate to perfectly represent me. There are other voters with other views on an endless list of issues. So I look for the candidate that comes closest to most of my interests, rather than a candidate that lands perfectly on just one of them.

Gillibrand will do whatever her Master, Chuck Schumer, tells her to do. Same with so-called pro-gun Liberal Dem Brian Higgins. When push comes to shove, they vote the party line and the Dem party line is ANTI GUN. Research the 1990's Assault Weapons Ban and you'll see what I mean.

I thought you moved out of state?

Sorry to let you down nogods. I'm way more pro-second amendment than you SCOPE type Democrats will ever be. My house is on the market now and when it's sold, I'll leave so you can carry on your limp wristed, phoney fight for NY gun rights. SCOPE is a tool for Democrats who THINK they have pro-second amendment representation from the DNC. If you give money to SCOPE, you are writing a check to Democatic Party. Higgins, Schumer, Gillibrand, Hochul, etc. They will vote the party line and the party line is ANTI- second amnedment. Bye Bye NY! Last post here. SCOPE and NY Pistol Permit holders deserve each ohter.
