Editing My Profile

I've been trying to edit my profile by plaving an avatar on it. It keeps popping up that I need to be a member. Obviously I am because I can post this. Any help would be appreciated.

You must have one post before editing your profile. There is a message stating this after signing up. This is to stop spammer from creating accounts and adding links in their profile.
