Stirrer of the Pot
Bought a lightly used EAA Witness .45 yesterday. Too good a deal to pass up since I'd been looking for one (or a used Baby Eagle, the EAA's cousin). It's a full-size steel frame model - a nice change from all the polymer stuff you see everywhere. I love the ergonomics and the fact that it's DA/SA. It also has a "half-cocked" hammer setting as well. Ran 200 rounds through it and it functioned flawlessly. Accurate too. Its nearly 3lb loaded weight handled the recoil nicely. My only complaint is the permanent front sight. I'd like to put night sights on it but that would mean grinding down the front sight and then drilling to accomodate a new sight. Probably a bit beyond my gunsmithing skills but I might look into having a professional do it sometime in the future. If anyone knows of any good tweaks for this pistol I'd love to hear them.
