Anyone here own one? Anyone have any knowledge or experience with them? Local gunshop had one. Looked at it several times and really like the way it felt andlooked so put it on layaway the other day. Think i got a good deal, $389.00 plus tax. I will pick it up on the 12th of Feb. Here are the specs

Action :Single / Double

Caliber :45 ACP

Barrel Length :3.6"

Capacity :8 + 1

Safety :Manual

Grips :Polymer

Sights :Adjustable

Weight :26 oz

Finish :Blue

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will tell you guys what i think after i pick it up and run a few hundred rounds through it. Thanks

well I finally picked it up. Got it on the 12th but with work haven't had time to shoot it till this weekend. It ran great with only 2 ftf from the same mag. FTF was the second round each time and was the second round both times. Fired 100 rounds of wwb with no further issues. Do have to get used to the thumb safety so it won't be a carry gun for awhile, although it does dissappear in the Tagua owb holster i got for it. Very accurate, kept all rounds in the 9 and 10 area of a half man target at 7,10, and 15 yards. All in all i am very pleased and hope toget some more rounds through the tube very soon. One thing i did not know till i got it home though was that it is not rated for +p ammo. But hey with a .45 shooting jhp do you really need +p's? BTW I know everyone here thinks this thread is worthless without pics but hey....i had to choose between a camera and my new AR.....not too hard of a choice

I personally would not worry about the safety. Carefully lower the hammer to the "half cock" safety notch and carry it double action first shot. You can always thumb cock the hammer if you want single action first shot.

Regarding your FTFs: Remember that this gun doesn't have a tilting barrel. If it's anything like the Baby Eagle (also a CZ-75 clone), then the feed ramp is pretty steep. This means the gun is not very forgiving of limp-wristing. It took me a while to realize that. Keep a good hold on it, and it should work fine every time.

(YMMV)

Curiousity got the best of me so I just went downstairs and checked. My Tanfoglio TZ-75 has a tilting barrel, locked breach, Colt/Browning action and I'm pretty sure the Witness and the CZ-75 are the same.

That's interesting. The Israelis must have done things a little differently. OP, disregard everything I just said!

Thanks for the correction, astute. I shouldn't have assumed those two guns were the same.
