Dear Mr. President

Thanks for the letter, "But"

We Don't want bigger Government, nor do we need more Government Health Care. Maybe you need to work on some of the Government Plans allready established that the Government does so well at running such as Social Security and Medicare. If I had back all the money the Government has taken out of my pay check for these two well organized plans I wouldn't have any problem paying for my own Health Care. I am tired of paying for those that are too lazy to work, or those that neither they nor the past 3 or 4 generations of their family has done an honest days work in their life.

And while I'm at it (Immigration is fine) that is how most of us got here. But, why are we furnishing Health Care and other benifits to Illigal Immigrants?

Government caused this economic problem by giving houses to those that couldn't afford them and than they blame it on the banks. Fanny Mae and Freddie Max are still being ran by some of your cronies that helped cause the problem and they are still doing the same wonderful job.

Cap and Trade is also a farce, just another way to build a bigger Government, and squeeze a few more dollars out of the American people.

If you would try reading the Constitution of the United States and stick to it we would all be better off.
I don't see anything about Energy Control, Health Care, Gun Control or where a President needs to run around the World putting down this Great Country.

I wish I could call you a friend, but I don't believe in Socialism.

Take Care

Dear Friend,

If you’re like most Americans, there’s nothing more important to you about health care than peace of mind.

Given the status quo, that’s understandable. The current system often denies insurance due to pre-existing conditions, charges steep out-of-pocket fees – and sometimes isn’t there at all if you become seriously ill.

It’s time to fix our unsustainable insurance system and create a new foundation for health care security. That means guaranteeing your health care security and stability with eight basic consumer protections:

No discrimination for pre-existing conditions
No exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles or co-pays
No cost-sharing for preventive care
No dropping of coverage if you become seriously ill
No gender discrimination
No annual or lifetime caps on coverage
Extended coverage for young adults
Guaranteed insurance renewal so long as premiums are paid
Learn more about these consumer protections at Whitehouse.gov.

Over the next month there is going to be an avalanche of misinformation and scare tactics from those seeking to perpetuate the status quo. But we know the cost of doing nothing is too high. Health care costs will double over the next decade, millions more will become uninsured, and state and local governments will go bankrupt.

It’s time to act and reform health insurance, drive down costs and guarantee the health care security and stability of every American family. You can help by putting these core principles of reform in the hands of your friends, your family, and the rest of your social network.

Thank you,
Barack Obama
