Dvor - Horrible Business Practices & Customer Service

A couple years ago, I ran across the website for Dvor, which has a lot of gun and outdoor related equipment and supplies. While I haven't purchased a lot from them, in the past I never had any issues with my orders, so I never really got to experience their "Customer Service" after the sale.....until now!

I was browsing their site and came across an item listed as "Energizer Compact Metal LED Camouflage Flashlights - 12 Pack" Item # ENCML32SD. $4.50

Since their shipping cost is $9.99, and since I had a $5.00 credit on my account, I figured that approx. $.80 per flashlight was a pretty good deal, so I ordered it.
I know I can buy led flashlights elsewhere inexpensively, but figured I might as well use my credit and shop from the convenience of my home.

I received confirmation of my order and a few days later, received a box......WITH 1 FLASHLIGHT!!! No Packaging, No explanation.... NOTHING!!! Just 1 flashlight floating around free in the box with airbag filler.

I called immediately and spoke with a pleasant young lady, who after reviewing the Dvor site, as well as their "sister site" Planet Optics.com, said that she could see the 12 pack listing and photo, as well as the listing for just 1 flashlight on the Planet Optics site for the same price. She stated that she completely understood my concern, and would have someone contact me that same day, Wednesday, 7/30/14, and I should hear back within an hour or two.

Late on Thursday 7/31/14, I again called Dvor and explained that I had not heard back from anyone, but the person responsible was "away from his desk". He was aware of the situation and was "researching" the situation. The CSR then stated that he was sure that I would hear back within the day.... which I DID NOT!

On 8/1/14, I emailed Dvor asking if I could receive a response...to which I received only an automated response that someone would address it and respond within 24 to 48 hours. In this email, I explained that I simply wanted my order fulfilled.... I further explained that in my business, even if I make a mistake, I honor my offer or quote. Finally, I indicated to them that when I go into a store to buy a 12 pack of soda or beer, the clerk doesn't pull out 1 can and charge me for 12.

Needless to say, I received NO RESPONSE!!! So yesterday, 8/6/14, I called again.... I SPOKE TO YET ANOTHER CSR...and after a period on hold... the CSR came back and stated that "there was an error on that listing, so they would not honor the order. The listing should have stated 1 flashlight for $4.50 (plus shipping)....Sorry!"

When I questioned him about "honoring" the offer and their "confirmation" of my order, he stated that just the day before, he had gone into a major retailer to buy something in their ad, but was told that "the advertised price was incorrect" and he had to pay the "correct" price.... I found that to be quite a coincidence!

Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.
He did promise to send along a Return Merchandise Authorization via email, but true to form, I have not yet received that email (yes, I did check my Junk Mail and Spam folders).

So... the moral of the story is.... if dealing with Dvor or Planet Optics... you can only hope (not trust) that their web listings are priced correctly and that you actually receive the product you ordered, because if you don't, IT'S YOUR PROBLEM...NOT THEIRS!!!
