Dummies like this are what makes it hard on us.

I know that was stupid but in all the places that bullet could have gone in millions of inches of uninhabited space, this is like, oh I don't know, like one of the best arguments for predestination I have ever heard.

I don't buy into that train of thought but comon, this was freak!

I never shoot my firearm unless I'm at the range, I honestly find no need to do it otherwise (excluding self-defense), To fire blindly in to the air is a waste of ammo and is pointless.

To blindly fire into the air is just STUPID. That is for movies not real life. Shoot into the ground if you want to do celebratory shooting.

Shooting into the ground is dangerous as bullets can ricochet off and cause damage. Don't shoot a gun unless you are on a range or in self defense.

Celebratory gunfire should be illegal as several people each year are injured or worse, killed.

A clear violation of "Rule 4", as in always be sure of your target and what is beyond it. It is the shooter's job to be sure thier bullet finds a safe landing zone.

The Gun Zone -- "The Rules"

"Celebration" shooting is for total jackasses, there is no excuse for this behavior.

Its for movies and 3rd world countries where its done regularly. Ones finger should not touch the trigger of a loaded gun unless you intend to shoot a target or a bad guy...

It's common to hear guns shot on New Years Eve here in Atlanta. The cops were even on the news saying anybody caught would be arrested.

Several years ago I was awakened at midnight on New Year's Eve by celebratory automatic weapons fire. Those puppies were set on rock 'n roll. And that was in our crowded neighborhood in Grand Rapids, MI! Thankfully, it hasn't happened since.
