Dumb things people say about guns.

Like many of us I read a lot about handguns, rifles, carry techniques, laws etc. and watch the various firearm TV shows. I also like to talk with people both who carry and those who do not. I'm always amazed at some of the dumb things I hear people say.

Just yesterday I was in a local gun shop. The sales clerk started out somewhat ok with "I don't think caliber matters too much, he will go down with a double tap to the chest even with thick clothing". To my amazement he then says "Then when he is down you can take the time to put one in his head". It had to be the dumbest thing I have heard anyone say regarding firearms.

Anyone else have similar experiences?

He's not an attorney, he's a salesman...er salesidiot, nuts. But hey, stupid is a stupid does. Sometimes peoples mouths just over run their brains. Actually, it happens more often than not.

Dumb things said about guns...by people who should damn well know better!!

I have extra "clips", how many bullets does the "clip" hold? Ok, first thing is they are not "clips", THEY ARE MAGAZINES, please, people, if you own a semi-auto handgun, refer to the parts of it correctly, second, bullets are the actual projectile that exits the barrel, my MAGAZINES hold CARTRIDGES. I know, small issues and maybe a bit anal, but for some reason when I hear a supposedly smart "gun person" call a Magazine a "clip" I want to "clip" their nuts...lol

"I'm the only one professional enough in this room that I know of to carry a Glock 40 .....POW....everybody alright?" The officer in question shot himself in the leg in front of a classroom of kids with his own gun.
