Liberals have been complaining to A&E about the continued portrayal of prayer, Bible reading, and firearms on Duck Dynasty, so A&E producers went to Phil Robertson and asked him to curtail those activities.

Phil responded, "If We Can't Pray to God on the show, we will not do the show. God and Guns are apart of our everyday lives; to remove either of them from the show is unacceptable."

A&E evidently chose to renew the show anyway.

Quack if you support the Robertson's position!

Yep, I support it, and thats the problem now we took God out of the school, government, public places and you want what, God is Robertson's provider.

The bible said in Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

I'm with him, if you don't want me to pray well I will know that this is not for me,and I will not take down for nobody, not even for my mother, dad, sister, brother, wife, etc. God is the reason that we are living on this earth, he the reason the we have money in ours pocket, food on ours table and you don't want my God, well I will leave in a heart beat.

Do you have links as to the validity of this statement?
If liberals don't like the show they can change the channel. I don't know whether I believe this or not.

G-D whimpering crybaby liberals, change the f-ing channel.

It seems that they have a specific goal every single day of their cowardly sniveling lives, find something new that offends them, and whine about it, alot.

Gee, an American show that shows American values on God, Guns and Family: OMG the inhumanities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However, I must confess, I'm about half way through our DVR recordings and loving this show!

Note that Willie Robertson is one of the Exec Producers: Hence, he says what's going on the show. Good for him!!!!!

The artsie fartsie producers of the show created it thinking that evey one would be laughing at the stupid rednecks with family values.
Little did they ever think it would be a smash hit.
They are scratching their quaffed heads thinking how can anything without sex and skin be a hit.

The second amendment is the most recent target of the liberal agenda, right after those behind the agenda successfully attacked and all but decimated public expression of the Christian faith. We all understand "stand your ground" when it comes to self defense. Wonder what would happen if all of us who share Christian values would dig in and stand our ground against the liberal agenda by withholding any financial support for the businesses who support it. After all, money is the driving force behind everything in this country.

Guess the liberals are on a sequential attack on rights. Here they go after the first amendment, and the second amendment.

Guess we can expect the liberals to expect us to quarter soldiers next. Of course we know that the 4th is routinely trampled.

AMEN Brother Phil!!!!!!!!!!!!! You and your family quack me up!!!! A very funny, wholesome and clean show. Tell em to lick your heals Phil and family!

It's funny around here how we have all these "freedom from religion" groups who have done a lot recently, one thing being that they have banned prayer from the opening ceremony of any board meetings, stating that it is a violation of the 1st amendment and the separation of church and state. I'm not sure if they've managed to eliminate prayer from schools but I know they're working on it. What angers me though is that the 1st amendment gives you the freedom OF religion, not the freedom from religion. Therefore it does not mean that you have the right to go around demanding that others do not practice their religion in front of you. But an interesting thing I learned this past semester from one of my professors is that he said that while he was getting his PhD in Jurisprudential Law, he studied the entire US Constitution as well as the constitution of all 50 states, and not one of them ever mentions or gives any inclination that there should be a separation of church and state. He said he knows of one place that phrase was ever mentioned, and it was in a letter, but he has no clue how it ever became so quoted and used by anti-religious nuts. I found that interesting though.

So he said the next time you ever hear anyone utter the phrase "separation of church and state", you tell them to find one single law in the entire United States and you'll actually give them the time of day.

True, the first usage of the term was from a letter to the Danbury Baptist Association, however, SCOTUS has used the term countless times in several of their decisions including the 1962 decision in Engel v. Vitale ruling organized prayer in public schools unconstitutional. So while it may not be written in stone in the Constitution, case law precedents using the term date all the way back to 1879.

Yup, here is some case law too.

In March of 1857, the United States Supreme Court, declared that all blacks -- slaves as well as free -- were not and could never become citizens of the United States. Google Dred Scot

Just sayin.

i don't agree with religion, but i like the show and wouldn't ask them to stop doing what they do.

it becomes as simple as many other things that are "controversial"...if you dont like it, dont do it/watch it/buy it/etc etc

Proud Bible and gun clinger (as described by the current administration) here. The request from liberal doesnt surprise me. With God, they lose some of the control they want to have over your life.

QUACK, QUACK AND QUACK AGAIN.
God bless Phil Robertson for not caving because I would of had to stop watching the show. Remember what Jesus said:

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels. Luke 9:26

Someone let the liberals know. There's this little square device with buttons on it. Most of us call it a remote control. It's used to change the channel on the TV. It will get them back to the safe world of MSDNC and the mainstream media where we can't exercise any more mind control over them.
