The second amendment is the most recent target of the liberal agenda, right after those behind the agenda successfully attacked and all but decimated public expression of the Christian faith. We all understand "stand your ground" when it comes to self defense. Wonder what would happen if all of us who share Christian values would dig in and stand our ground against the liberal agenda by withholding any financial support for the businesses who support it. After all, money is the driving force behind everything in this country.
It's funny around here how we have all these "freedom from religion" groups who have done a lot recently, one thing being that they have banned prayer from the opening ceremony of any board meetings, stating that it is a violation of the 1st amendment and the separation of church and state. I'm not sure if they've managed to eliminate prayer from schools but I know they're working on it. What angers me though is that the 1st amendment gives you the freedom
OF religion, not the freedom from religion. Therefore it does not mean that you have the right to go around demanding that others do not practice their religion in front of you. But an interesting thing I learned this past semester from one of my professors is that he said that while he was getting his PhD in Jurisprudential Law, he studied the entire US Constitution as well as the constitution of all 50 states, and not one of them ever mentions or gives any inclination that there should be a separation of church and state. He said he knows of one place that phrase was ever mentioned, and it was in a letter, but he has no clue how it ever became so quoted and used by anti-religious nuts. I found that interesting though.
So he said the next time you ever hear anyone utter the phrase "separation of church and state", you tell them to find one single law in the entire United States and you'll actually give them the time of day.
