Dream CCW gun

.85" or less wide.
4.6" or less tall.
4" octagonal rifled barrel.
Sights at least useful in terms of size.
Barrel and slide tennifer treated.
As dependable as a Glock.
Oh yeah, in .380 caliber.

In other words, either take the Glock .380 (tho not legal here) and down size the thickness immensely. Or an LCP and make it more dependable, more corrosion resistant with a longer barrel (and octagonally rifled) and with better sights...

Sure, a full size .40, .45, .357 sig or mag, etc would be more effective but I'm "dreaming" of something very easily hidden, like an LCP but with a longer barrel, better sights, a tennifer (or equivalent) finish and more inherent dependability.

Not perfect but darned close--stainless 232 Sig with Hogue grips. Double action, accurate, and adequate night sights. Used to carry a Warthog but it is a bit wide and heavy. Do miss the extra rounds but the extra mag is easily carried.

Austria...can you hear us (U.S.) now? You can manufacture this dream pistol (single stack mag?) here in America. I will be more than happy to enclose my carport and provide it to you free of charge. And right now, I would think you would really like SWFla. But yes, Tuts, you are spot on. This dream pistol would be a top seller that would cause us to empty our pocket$ to put one of these in a pocket.

Kahr PM9 - 0.9"wide and 3" barrel also in 9mm Luger.

Have one, SS with black coating and night sights, and also have an LCP. Niether fits the 'dream gun' criteria noted in the, oh, i don't know, the OP?

GlocknLoad: Right on!

The Glock 25 and 28 are available to LE and Military in the US. The sale is restricted (but not illegal) because those models do not meet the BATF import points which is kind of silly since they are built with the same frame dimensions as the G26, G27, and G33 and would use the same internal components. These pistols were developed for those countries that forbid the civilian possession of a handgun chambered in a common military caliber.

Check out the Diamond Back .380. I swear it looks like a mini Glock.

Dream gun...or dream accessories? Here's one....

As a kid, I dreamed of having a "Super Soaker" to add to my handheld squirt gun arsenal. Now I can 'Dream On' (per Steven Tyler) that Santa will bring one for Christmas. (Plenty of shopping days left.) I do hope it is available with a digital camo finish.
