Ok so I've got my next couple gun purchases lined out.
Gonna get a g30 for the car, and now comes the hard part. I'm looking at 9mm sub compacts and am really torn between a g26, xd sc, and a cm9. What to do, what to do..
I just picked up an XDsc in 9mm. It is significantly heavier than the Glock.
I do like the trigger on the XD a little better than the Glock or the Kahr.
They are all good, reliable firearms. Get the cm9 if it will be an everyday carry gun and you know you need to go light and concealed. If that's not an issue with you then it comes down to your personal preference. Everyone here can swear glock until their ears turn blue or springfield but really they are all equally reliable. I prefer the xd due to the grip safety, it just adds a little comfort to my carry but if that doesn't bother you than glock may be your winner

My current ccw weapon is a g36. Love it. Was wanting a concealable "board shorts" gun. And was thinking one of those 9mm should fit the bill. The 30 is for car and as a back up to my 36 in event of my 36 being out if commission for what ever reason.
why aint the pocket gun good enough for the car, too? If you need more than a pocket gun, better have an sks in the car, not a slightly larger pistol. I say sks cause it's legal where some box mag rifles are not, and it's cheaper, so if it's stolen, not as many tears need to be shed, and the bad guy doesn't get as deadly an item, either. The sks is plenty, if you know how to use the engine block as cover, and keep some stripper clips rubber banded to the stock. With CorBon 150 gr sp loads, it's at least as good a deer rifle as the .30-30 ever was, too.
