LEO who fully admits he doesn't give a crap about what the law says, he is going to do whatever he wants to. Better keep your gun unloaded and locked in the trunk and be sure to tell him about your unloaded gun locked in the trunk unless you want his gun screwed in your ear.... Notice the advice he gave to the OP was "under color of law", of course.

This is exactly the kind of police officer that needs to find a new job. Thank goodness he represents only a small minority of police officers.

Good luck convincing the bashers of that. What I've noticed working with the police in my area is that even though they all act tough, a lot of them have trouble standing on their own two feet. They look to they're supervisors for everything and will follow them blindly. If they have an overly aggressive supervisor who gets in everybody's face about everything all the subordinates are going to act that way too. That's what they get though for hiring all these kids straight out of college with CJ degrees that have no idea how the real world works yet. They all remind me of butter bars (no offense Navy, since I'm assuming you were a butter bar once.)

I became a butter bar after being enlisted 17 years between the Army National Guard and active duty Navy and obtaining my college degree while enlisted. I fully recognize about what you are saying about butter bars, though, who have done nothing more than go to some ROTC school on the government's dime .

Ha... yeah, definitely a huge difference being enlisted first. My husband's actually thinking of going officer in the next few years, too.

Those ROTC kids can be a pain... We had some on our ship for a while, and one was loudly complaining that he should get a stateroom rather than sleep in a berthing cause he was going to be an officer someday!
