An interesting read. I think that there will be some disturbances, especially if Obama loses the election. A great many people would be angry over the Democratic party(Obama) challenging the election results in court. And yes, I do believe that he would use executive power to maintain himself in office.

These Executive Orders (E.O.s) that will/would be enacted and enforced in times of civil unrest~civic emergency, have been on the books since JFK was the prez. Some, even longer than that.

EACH and EVERY prez since JFK, has re-signed those E.O.s, and, EACH and EVERY time that the conspiracy theory pundits see it, they want to attribute these actions (E.O.s) to the current hierarchy, making it sound like these are brand new ideas (E.O.s) that will end all freedoms and plunge us all into serfdom by controlling all electrical power, food, fresh water, fuels, modes of transportation, etc.

The truth? ...basically YES, the government WOULD/WILL take control of everything/anything that a nation in distress would need to take hold of and control for the 'greater good' during a period of time that the country would indeed be in DIRE distress...during a true nation-wide civic emergency.

Interestingly, these tin-hat-crap versions of the truth normally get 'put out there' just before elections, by people wanting to distract or redirect attention/intentions. Eventually, you will (normally/usually) also read how the Federal Govt is going to use the National Guard (and usually included are the U.N. Blue Hats) to round us all up and put everyone into concentration camps that are supposedly already situated all around the U.S.A. ... along major freeways, and rail-heads, and these camps are manned, supplied, razor-wired, electric-fenced, and are just waiting for your and my arrival.

Truthfully Oldgrunt, I'm more than a little worried that you are right. The "occupy" people have been relatively quiet, civil unrest is their specialty.

Not just with all the current craziness going on around the world, but because it feels like the doors to the nuthouse has been left unlocked and the loons have not only escaped, but they’re in charge and making all the rules. God who knows the future controls the future. Not many people take my "signature" seriously, and for this reason fail to fully comprehend (as prophesied) the great global perplexity of nations, especially the Middle East, pertaining to these last days of this last generation. The clock is ticking for all hell to break loose, not just here in America, it will engulf the entire planet.

True and honest statement. We don't have to single out Republicans. Let's just say that those who are working and paying taxes for the other 47% just don't have time to demonstrate and riot. Of course those people, like you said just don't do those things we/they are wired differently. This is getting to be one scary movie!

The world is going crazy around us and people are getting scared, scared people do irrational things.

As I’ve said before I am convinced that we are living in the end times prophesied in the Bible. The Bible makes it clear that during these times the world will be characterized by a spirit of lawlessness and a spirit of delusion. The Bible also makes it clear that the world is going to begin to choose sides. I think we’re already seeing that.

The Bible states that during the time immediately prior to the Tribulation period we will see a marked increase in natural disasters, there will be famines and food prices will sky rocket. As more and more people are forced to choose between rent and food they will demand that the government step in and do something. When the government is unable to do so we’ll see riots in the streets and we’ll start to see looting and flash mobs just walking into stores and taking what they want. As more and more people get away with it more and more people will try it.

Also according to the Bible during the Tribulation period there will be a unified world government, monetary system and a world religion, in order for this to happen our current systems will, by definition, have to cease to exist. I don’t see how that could possibly happen with out a major world upheaval (the Rapture perhaps?)


My personal theory is that w/in 3 years tops the world will realize that our economic system is a house of cards when that happens (IMO) our economy will cease to exist. I believe that there will be a push at that time for a world currency and the hook will be that all debt is forgiven. People will jump on it and the hook will be set.
