does anyone own the LC9?

I want one and will most likely buy one but am hoping to get some info. How is the accuracy, trigger pull and recoil? Is it worth buying? I own the LCP and love it but since I have thousands of 9mm rounds, I am thinking of getting the LC9. I am also going to buy an XDM-9 but that one I won't carry. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have the LC9. The trigger pull is longer than a week. The recoil is manageable, but you don't want to spend all day at the range hammering rounds through it. It's got a great sight picture and it's accuracy is based on the shooter - I can put consistent tight groups in the 10 ring on a B27 Target at 20yds. I have the LCP as well and have switched to the LC9 as my daily carry.

great info, thanks! I figured it was comparable to the LCP but was hoping it was a tad bit upgraded. I used to own the Keltec 9 but that thing was better used as a weight fishing for Halibut. Trigger pull length isn't as much of a concern to me as the lbs affecting the accuracy. When I do get one, I am gonna get the one without the laser for sure!

Good choice! The laser is just a flashy toy. The LC9 is a close quarters combat weapon and you need to be good at instinctive aiming/shooting and not rely on a laser.

I hear ya. That laser would just get in the way. I only have one gun with a laser and that's my XD-40 and it has the rear site laser which is great!! I have it sighted in just right and it's not only small and out of the way, it's rugged and accurate. Just not much for daytime shooting unless the target is in the shade. I use that mostly for home defense.

Get the lc9! its a great gun, dependable, shoots anything you feed it. Keep in mind, its a small gun, so it has some recoil. I dint see the need for a laser its a close quarter gun. It is pretty accurate at the range not xd9 accurate but at 30 -40 yds it gets the job done.

I didn't find the recoil on either the LCP or LC9 excessive. It isn't a 30-40 yrd range pistol, it does it's intended job well. 7-8 yrds is where I practice with them. I use LCP as summer carry and LC9 as a winter carry.

I own 2 one for the wife and one for me and we both love them. My wife has no problem with the recoil considering that it's a small frame gun. Yes it has a long tigger pull but after it brakes in and you shoot it, you get use to it. There both very accurate up to 10 yards, sights are very good in my opinion. Wide verity of carry options available that I have found. I have also found aftermarket parts starting to be more available for them.

I have an LC9. The comments about trigger pull are correct, but it's not an issue for me within the self-defense range (7yds) that I expect from such a firearm.

I generally carry one of the following, depending on my clothing...

1. LCP....20% of the time

2. LC9....40%

3. Glock G19...40%

The LC9 has been my EDC for about a year now. I agree with all of the above. I love the ease of carry and concealment with pocket carry. No dressing around the gun. No IWB digging into my body when I'm driving. I did almost get outed yesterday for the first time. I had to go to the Dr. to get a banged up knee looked at. I wore shorts so they could easily get at it. They sent me down for X-rays and the tech asked me to empty my pockets. OOOOPS! I was able to turn my back and slip it into a jacket pocket. I've still never been outed pocket carrying the LC9 and the knee only needs ice and rest thankfully....

love my weapon. nearly 3000 rounds through it in 3 months. troublefree rounds.

My wife and I both carry the LC9 daily. Its really a good gun. After a couple hundred rounds thru it, no problems at all. I carry in a maxtuck holster from whitehatholsters.com. I hardly know its there

I bought two. One for me and one for my wife, both with the lasermax laser. We both love the gun. I put 300 rounds through mines and I noticed the front sight has shifted. Will definitely have that addressed. Otherwise no malfunctions with either gun. I carry daily and would highly reccomend the LC9 as an EDC.

I own the LCP and I also own an XD9. Where I work, we sell a lot of LC9's and in my opinion it picks up where the LCP lacks. It has more stopping power, a better sight picture, offers a safety if you like that, and you can get more of your hand on it. It is extremely reliable and it isn't picky about ammo. I just don't like the trigger pull. I am well aware of what most small guns are designed to do. The M&P Shield is worth looking at in that class. It's about the same price and size but S&W has done an excellent job ergonomically and taming the recoil. This results in small gun that's fun to shoot and it's accuracy at farther ranges is impressive for it's size. The trigger pull should close the deal for you. The LC9 is in no way a bad gun but anyone considering a 9mm of similar size and price should look into the Shield. I get to play with lots of cool stuff and the Shield is the most impressive gun I've run across in this category.
