Does anybody else's pants & belt sag under the weight of your gun?

My pants/belt sag about an inch when I carry (4 o'clock). Does this happen to anybody else?

Is this normal?
Is it my belt? I have a Galco 1.5" SB3.
Is it my build?

If I tighten the belt anymore it really cuts into my stomach and practically cuts me in half when I sit down.

Any insight would be great.

Mine will sag a little. You could try a 2" belt. Not to pry but are your pants at your waist or do you let them ride on your hips?

Mine do maybe just a little but not much to interfere with anything. I run a 5.11 tactical 1.5 double duty belt, with M.O.C. black BDU pants, topped of with a N8 squared tactical IWB with my fullsize M&P. I'm also a bigger guy and don't have much if any problems.

Mine sag a little I have a Walmart thick leather belt . But as long as your pants don't fall off your ok

They ride just below the top of my hip bone.

try it above it right where your waist is narrower than the bottom portion. if you are at the same width from where your belt is to your knees then it will sag more. || goes down but )( waist a little extreme but you get the drift then belt, pants, gun catches and won't sag as much.

yes.....it is a continuous battle. i need a better belt but even that would not eliminate the issue. i marvel at those guys that carry a cannon and never seem to have an issue. gonna watch this post to see if anyone comes up w/a good solution.

i have a high waist so my belt rides just above the hip bone and under the belly button pulled tight it won't sag my pants but if the belt is lower or looser it sags the pants.......get a good gun belt .....i bought a really nice 'looper gun belt' at the gun show for 50 usd it's 1.5 inches wide and works well for me.. i can even wear it on my bare skin comfortably with holster and gun when i'm wearing elastic waist banded skirts and pants and i use the clips to hold the pants or skirt in place so yeah i got a good thang going on
:yes4:

I use a Good quality gunbelt and wear my pants just above the hip bone. With my full size 1911 I need to sinch it up one more notch so it doesnt sag versus the Glock. Other than that I have no issues with saging.

I use a good quality gun belt, holster and mag holder, and have very little issue, my biggest issue is my short fat frame which i am in the middle of reducing. LOL

Im 5' 11" 190 lbs. I carry at 4 - 4:30 also. Mine sidearm is 27 ounces loaded. I have gotten used to tightening/loosening my belt for different situations. One thing I notice really helps is wearing jeans that "FIT". My looser pants just dont distribute the weight the same way my tighter pants do.

Same problem here. I dont have a butt so mine sag big. I got a 5.11 trainer belt. Love it! Never had to pull pants up again while wear that belt. Will not go back to hole and hook belts.

I'm not sure if you open carry or ccw.
I ccw an LC9 and I found that when I IWB carry if I hook the holster on my waist band instead of over the belt it not only conceals better but everything seems to stay in place better. This seems to work better with any of my belts, 1" dress up to 2"work belts.

I have had similar problems, and I have alleviated the problem at least to some degree by wearing a thicker work belt instead of a thinner dress belt. Also if you use a clip type holster possibly hooking it over your waistband along with the belt would help you.

I had the same problem. Bought a thicker belt, problem partially resolved. Bought some suspenders (Perry's) from Walmart, wore them under my shirt (they hook to the belt) fixed problem. THEN I bought an actual (even thicker) gun belt and put the suspenders away. My wife says I have "No AZZ," so I have to tug them up now and again but the problem is resolved IMO. So, buy a gun belt.

If your pants fall off, be careful someone doesn't take you picture and post it on People of Walmart, there are a few of them under the off tipic forum site.
