Disabled woman raped on bus.

Here is a story which shows a need for concealed carry to be allowed in California, this happened in Los Angeles.

If the passenger who witnessed it had a concealed gun he could have been stopped. Animals like this are why more CCW is needed. Come on California get with it.

wow what a horrible thing to rape a disabled person geesh and on a city bus?? why didn't anyone come to help her?? how come the bus driver or passengers didn't stop it wtf is this world coming to

I don't know why the other passenger didn't run up and tell the bus driver. Some people are so afraid they say nothing or do nothing. I would love to have been carrying and been there. The stinking animal would have been caught or dead then. Why don't people realize if they contact their congressmen and Governors maybe they could get carry laws changed for the better.
I'm glad I don't live in L.A. and ride a bus.

Sorry, but no gun would have changed the outcome. The witness on the bus didn't do anything to stop the rape in the first place so what make s you think it would have been different if the witness had a gun?

Unless of course you are saying that a gun makes a coward a brave person. If you're saying that a person that sits on a bus and does nothing when a woman is being raped will change their spots simply because they have a gun, I'm sorry, but you are mistaken about human nature. A non-involvement (I shy away from using the term coward) will stay non-involvement. A non-involvement person is not the sort of person to want to own, train to own or understand the severity of owning a gun. A non-involvement type of person, whether they have a gun or not will continue to say to themselves "It's not my problem". That is the last person to entrust with the power of a gun or expect to come to anyone's aid.

Sometimes if a person is convinced to take gun training and learns to shoot and handle a gun properly that training DOES change them. Being with others who are learning and people who realize that criminals deserve to be stopped can rub off on a person. There are people who do change their views, it happens all the time. They just need to make a decision to try and associate with people who will not give in to criminals. At this point I do however loath this person for not doing something to stop this rape, they could have run up front to the bus driver.

I agree, cluznar... I loathe people like this 'observer'... They could have also attacked the scumbag with a vengeance... but they didn't... typical response of a coward.

Or perhaps the victim could have fought off her attacker had she been armed. That's the whole point of concealed carry, after all. But I'm most disappointed in the bus driver for being so inattentive that a rape took place on the bus without anything happening to stop it.

Los Angeles is a crazy place, lots of gang activity and probably even bus drivers are scared. A bus driver in Cleveland was punched around by some guy recently. Bus drivers should have the right to be armed also.
