Does anyone else find it odd the DHS put in an order for 450 Million .40 rounds? If I was a conspiracy theorist, I would think that they are trying to get as much of the .40 ammo off the market that they can.

What would they need that for, anyhow?

Guess time to stock up while I still can!

Seems like the other police agencies (FBI, etc.) buy a bunch of rounds and then have the brass reloaded. Then again if you were not shooting on a range it would not be practical to pick up the brass.

Most of the feds carry .40 with the exception of a very small few who carry the .357 sig round.

Maybe they figure they need to be practiced up prior to the big "roundup" to fill the FEMA camps.

Well it does stimulate the ammo makers (jobs) and limit or control the market. (the whole market)
Cost of Primers - cost of brass - cost of powder - cost of copper and lead all up already.
Where are they going to store all of this.

Minimum ammo 5000 rds per gun in storage, plus monthly shooting stock - the feds can try what they want until they get to my front gate. Don't Tread On Me!
