We may not be out of the woods in this session of congress yet. Both the AWB and large capacity mag ban bills can be brought up and voted on seperately. Besides, we all know that the same bills will be proposed again next year. These people will never stop. We all need to be on guard always.

What they'll do is lay off and say "ok, we'll give you gun-toters ONE more chance." Then they'll stage another mass shooting like they did Sandy Hook (my opinion), except this time it'll be somewhere like a mall, and they'll pull the "see what happens when we let you and your 2nd amendment loose" card.

Yea, my thoughts are more along the lines of they knew the AWB was a no go from the start. But the universal background checks (IE gun registration) was the main goal but they needed something to take the pressure off of it. The Mag cap may have been a part of the game plan, but Im thinking the mandatory checks were the goal from step one.


On a side note, I hope now I can find a decent priced AK when the big sell offs come!

They will not ever give up. The agenda is clear and they need to disarm the united states before they pull the plug on the economy for good. Just look at all of the European nations in financial trouble. Ireland, Spain, Italy to name a few and not to mention most recently Cypress. What do all of these countries have in common? they are all part of the Eurozone monitary system where a central bank (IMF and world bank) is in charge of all of the currency. I suppose you're wondering what this has to do with a potential gun ban. Everything.... In the new world order system you will not be able to have a gun. I'll paraphrase but a united nations spokesperson stated that the civilian ownership of firearms threatens the legitamite power monopoly of the state. The United States is not immune to financial problems. There has just been a bandaid on our financial system for a while but the wound is starting to fester. We also have a central bank whose share holders do not have the United State's best interests in mind. Its the federal reserve and its no more federal than federal express. So these banks approach a country like Cypress and say hey, check out this cool currency. All of Europe is using it. Dont you want to be part of it too? It'll be good for your economy. What they dont really tell them is that they are signing on to a debt based system used mostly to prop up the derivitives market. Then they start taking 15% of all the people's deposits to pay for a debt thats not even theirs. They may call it a tax but it is really stealing. So where is all of this going? When a government uses a gun to get the population to do something unpopular its fairly easy when the citizens do not have guns to point back. They want registration and then confiscation will follow here in the US. At least that is the plan but we will not comply. I know this seems sort of like a rant but the important fact is that the same system that is failing in Europe is trying to plant its foot more securely here in the US. It's already here just not as severe. This is where it ties in with banning/confiscating guns.

IMO, I don't feel they wanted the public to know how badly Feinstein's bill failed. :biggrin: This would indicate that more people are against gun control and could flip more against their way of thinking. :shout: After all everything they do is polictical, it isn't going to favor the people, it is just their idea of what the people want done.

Absolutely correct. The AWB was the whipping boy of anti-gun legislation (although vestiges of it may still be attached and pushed to other bills) for Harry Reid, with the real crux of the biscuit, UBC. This and other insane legislation will keep hitting us for some time to come. UBC, Registration, Confiscation.

The Left pushing gun control are crafty little bastards, and not to be trusted on any firearms issues. Please take note who voted and will vote anti-gun, take them out of office midterm, and remember ALL this next election.

Bloomberg and his deep pockets are another traitor to the Constitution and 2nd Amendment, and we need to be aware of his activities, both in and across his state lines. He has proven to be a snake in the grass, and his money will buy him popularity, as he believes he is the Messiah.

We can't relax and let our guard down for a second. The Feinstein assault weapon ban could be offered as an amendment to any legislation and it would only need 51 votes instead of the 60 it would have required as stand alone legislation. The Democrats currently control 53 seats and there are a couple of independents that love to vote right along with them.

The Dems are NOT done with this subject. Obama is sending Kerry to the UN to pursue the International Gun Ban. They will not stop and we cannot let our guard down for one scond.
