All I saw was info on legal owners and nothing on illegal ones .
Should have talked with inter city gang bangers and such .

No matter how many laws are passed to make guns harder for the law abiding normal citizen to purchase hey can always get them on the street or black market .

Depends greatly on the setting. If someone calls you on the phone, they have your phone number, and you have no idea what other information they have on you, including name and address. In that situation, I wouldn't give them any information, either.

But if they're set up outside a supermarket and are randomly picking passersby to participate in a poll, they don't know you from Adam. In such case, I would have no problem helping shed light on gun owner demographics.

Consider this: Without any information, the antis absolutely will assume the worst about us. However, Pew Research is a well-known and highly respected polling agency, one whose objective and integrity is above reproach. No one can force the results on the antis, but sharing those results sure makes their claims to the contrary look rather foolish.

I think the greatest take-away is the fact that fully two-thirds of Americans either own a gun or can see themselves owning a gun in the future. This single fact alone undermines many of the antis' claims regarding the prevalence of firearms.

The second greatest nugget, in my opinion, is this: "There is no significant difference in the rate of gun ownership across educational attainment." The antis constantly throw out terms like "low-education" and "low-information" voters, but the reality clearly shows that's not true.

Furthermore, the very fact that we're referencing the results of an excellent and well-done study says volumes about the identities of the real "low-information" voters.

So absolutely true. I saw one estimate that if you factor in the illegal or unknown firearms and prohibited owners that the ownership rate is close to 50% and the number of guns in America is about 600,000,000

If life as we presently know it were to continue, gun ownership would drastically decline because the vast majority of Millennials know nothing about guns except what the Liberal anti-gun agenda tells them and in fact would support all measures to repeal the 2nd when given the opportunity. Sadly, the majority these young people who enter our military are firearm illiterate. However, knowing that the world will not continue on as is, just one day after the Rapture occurs everyone will be wishing that they had a gun and will do almost anything to obtain one.

Ringo, I'm going to have to bring reality into the mix, as several things you just said flat out are not true.

Pew Research Center conducted a number of polls, along with higher level meta-studies, resulting in a rather extensive collection of data on guns in America. I suggest you review it and revise your statements using the facts.
