Deltaplex in Grand Rapids to stop hosting gun shows....

I just received the following IM from the Deltaplex:

I needed to respond to the rumor mill. We at the DeltaPlex are currently not holding gun shows only because the former Gun Show promoter has not renewed his contract to host the event. It has nothing to do with our political beliefs, in fact we very much support 2nd Amendment rights.

We have been discussing a schedule of gun shows with a couple promoters and hope to have a reputable promoter soon.

I checked the Deltaplex (Grand Rapids, MI) calendar over the weekend to see when the next gun show would take place, and nothing was listed so I emailed them They have decided to stop hosting gun shows.



The gun shows were evidently quite profitable for them. When The Original Grand Rapids Gun & Knife Show decided to purchase their own facility to host their shows, the Deltaplex began running their own shows head to head on the same dates. Suddenly they are willing to kiss the money goodbye in the name of political correctness, even though we have never had any safety or legal issues here.

In the meantime, The Original Grand Rapids Gun & Knife Show is continuing to host them in their new location on 28th St, SW. The next one is scheduled for Feb. 2-3.
