Defensive Pistol League

I start on a Defensive Pistol League tonight at my local range.
Looking forward to getting better with shooting.
Should be a good time.

Anyone here have any tips that may help?

Get extremely familiar with your draw and presentation of your weapon to the target in various stances and angles. As stated by Diver, don't rush it.

Do not do a walk through of the setup before you shoot. This will make the scenario as realistic as possible . Consider the scenario as a life or death situation and encounter it as if it were real life.

Most if all, have fun

P.S. if you have a friend going as well. If its possible have them record you so that you can pick up on your mistakes

Thanks guys. I had a great time. I did find myself rushing my shots and then slowed down and I did better, but still need much more practice.
