I heard about this through the grapevine. If it had been a shooting at a planned parenthood clinic, every media outlet would be screaming about it. And since it happened in DC, it once again illustrates the failure of gun control laws. The security guard who was shot is doing OK.

"A security guard at the Washington, D.C., headquarters of the Family Research Council was shot on Wednesday after an altercation with a man who entered the lobby with a gun. Police and agents from the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating the shooting."

The guy was also a Liberal Activist working for a Gay/ Lesbian group and another Liberal group. He threw a Chick-Fil-A bag in the building before the shooting and screamed some stuff about "haters" and so forth. Where is Janet Napolitano and Homeland Security to stop the Home Grown Terrorist? Oh, sorry, I forgot. Only the Tea Party and Military Vets can be "Terrorists".

Yup, this the the group that the CEO of Chix-Fil-A gave money to, and the shooter is a gay rights advocate. Move along, nothing to see here. Although, CNN have it about ten seconds this morning.

D.C. Mayor Vincent C. Gray said he will "work hard to preserve our gun control laws" in the nation's capital one day after police said a Virginia man shot a security guard who prevented him from entering a conservative research group's offices on Wednesday in a busy section of downtown.

The wounded security guard at the Family Research Council on G Street in Northwest is garnering praise for preventing an even greater tragedy at the hands of a Herndon man who purchased a firearm on Aug. 9 and brought it "into our city," Mr. Gray said Thursday on NewsChannel 8.

"He would not have been able to do that in the District of Columbia," Mr. Gray said, noting there is "continuing debate" about gun control laws and the Second Amendment. "I think we need to recognize that there are people — when guns are available — they will get them ... and use them for potentially tragic purposes, as this man did yesterday."

Federal charges of interstate transport of a firearm and ammunition and assault with intent to kill have been filed against the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Floyd Lee Corkins II.

The mayor also addressed his displeasure with a large billboard in the District that advertises formal gun training with the phrase, "Hey D.C., it's time for your first shot."

"We don't need to make guns more available to people," Mr. Gray said. "There are irresponsible people, there are people who have mental health problems, and the easier access they have to guns the more likely we are to predispose innocent victims, like yesterday, to the use of the guns."

Mr. Gray said crimes involving guns seem to be on the rise, citing the mass shooting in an Aurora, Colo., theater on July 20.

"I'm proud of the gun laws we have here in the District of Columbia," he said.

that's right. if it fits their agenda then they are not terrorists.

There is going to be almost no coverage of this and if it is, it will be buried. MSN has it, but you have to search for it.
More media bias.
