DC Councilman - other countries have unarmed police, so should DC...

Why?

“When you have a gun, it changes the dynamic completely. If we had a police force that could be trained to de-escalate situations without a gun like in other countries, I think we’d be in a better place.

Obviously, Mr. Grosso is unaware that Britain, since banning guns and disarming their police, has become the most violent country in the EU for more than FIVE STRAIGHT YEARS. The US has a violent crime rate of a little over 400/100,000 population; Britain has a violent crime rate of over 2,000/100,000 population.

Well Mr. Grosso have some balls and just head-on down to the hood and try de-escalating a couple of bangers who are fighting over a drug corner. You just go ahead on down there and see how long it takes to get your ass handed to you. My bet is the time would be measured in minutes.
 
Personally, I am a firm believer that police officers, judges, especially politicians, and every other "special" class of citizen should have to live under the exact same gun controls laws that Joe Citizen Minion has to live under. A police officer's life or his/her family's is worth any more than mine or my family's just because of the career choice they made.

The only thing I could add to that is that they should also have to live under ALL the same laws that we do!!

If that craziness happens, and the D.C. government is dumd enough to try it, D.C. will become a crime ridden, criminal Mecca.
 
IMHO Mr Grasso is not a moron! He is a TOTAL Idiot times 10!!!! From his talk I can tell that he has never set foot into any bad neighborhood!

My wife was not a fan of my CC but when we traveled last year, we walked through some areas when she was very happy that I was carrying!

I've been to DC a number of times including week long stays at the DC Union Station. And the taxi drivers would tell you where not to go for your own safety.

Perhaps we should support Mr Grasso in his quest! We should demand that NO guns are allowed in DC at all!! Including all of our elected morons, Secret Service, the Embassies and everyone period! :sarcastic:
 
I think the whole gov. In school should be disarmed and the voters can lawfully do that.at the same time since it a citizens right to self defense they should all carry if they want it would be fun to see what happened to the crime rate there then
