I started reloading back in December and just now loaded my 4,500th round. I've been busy! LOL!!

You sound like my son! I haven't seen my Dillon since he got the 5.56/9mm flu last year. I'm thankful he buys his own supplies instead of looting mine!

@ John13....in different stages of their lives while we are still alive, that is very typical of what kids do -- without the gun on our head, very subtle, very precise. It can be just a smile or that little twinkle in their eyes. Your son must be over 24 now so he had learned that dad's pockets doesn't belong to him anymore...

That's awesome! How many did you need to reload to break even?

well, I bought most all of my reloading gear and a ton of brass and bullets for only $325 from a buddy who didn't want to reload anymore. I get all of my brass for free since people like to leave it on the ground so all I ever spend money on are cases for ammo, bullets and powder. I did buy two die sets and an auto primer recently. I think I am still way ahead when it comes to breaking even.

I don't have a reloading kit yet but I soon will after next week. Just too busy next week I might not have time to do anything else but remove the boogie of my nose with all the dust that I will encounter all week. But I do also collect those spent brass off the floor from the shooting range whenever we go and may have enough to practice on my reloading AFTER buying my equipment...I had looked around at Cabela's once and at Bass Pro after some recommendations and then I got this job. Next week...I can't wait for next week!!!

You're on! Thanks mate! I knew I can rely on the forum here for that too. I have only seen a set-up so I will be needing all the advice that I can get. Cheerio...

I don't know why you bother to reload. It's not going to save you ANY money.

You'll just shoot more and burn up all that you thought (well, all you told the ol' lady) you were going to save....

I've saved plenty by reloading. As much as I shoot, I am already ahead with savings. If I had to buy all of my ammo, I would be in the hole.

I don't know why you're arguing with me about this. It happens to me every time I get out my gun. I shoot up all my ammo

Let's go shooting....
