damnit i found rust.

Ok i pulled my kimber 1911 out of the storage case and found some rust on the barrel and slide. how can i remove this? it'c covering the barrel and there is some on the slide. it's very light but its need to go. can someone help me with removing the rust?

I have looked online about that stuff. Is it something you can find in town some where or bought at a local gun shop?

Ace hardware or Wally World should have it. I used to use that while I was into black powder. Then I discovered if I used floor polish or car wax the rust problem was mostly eliminated.

Also, don't store the weapon in either a holster or other case. The weapon may actually draw moisture from them.
