Daily carry personal equipment load-out

festus

God Bless Our Troops!!!
Here is my "idea" of what is "reasonable" for daily carry.

1.Weapon w/ holster
2.Spare mag w/ carrier
3.Folding knife with pocket clip and lanyard
4.Tactical 150 lumen "surefire" sized flashlight
5.Cellphone
6.Wallet with ID/credentials front loaded for ease of access

This is the minimum I feel comfortable with for a stroll about the town.

What do you guys carry for your personal equipment load-out?

Pretty much the same as you festus except I have not been carrying a knife much. I do carry a second gun often though depending on the weather and what I am wearing. In other words sometimes in the summer time and most always in the winter.

45 in holster, bug in ankle, the knife I carry is enbareassing, sometimes 2nd bug in small of back, wallet, cell ph, mini flashlight

EDC on person:
1.Weapon w/ holster. Note: Monday to Friday firearm and spare mag remain in the truck safe while at work. Co. Rules...
2.Spare mag w/ carrier.
3.Folding knife with pocket clip. Benchmade griptilian.
4.Leatherman WAVE.
5.Tactical flashlight 120 lumens.
6.Cellphone.
7.Wallet with ID/credentials front loaded for ease of access.

That's the usual. Weekends it's fully armed till bedtime.

Peace...

EDC:
1) gun concealed in holster on my belt
2) extra mag in carrier in my messenger bag or backpack
3) ID on my person
4) cell phone on my person
5) small, thin folding knife in my messenger bag or backpack
6) Leatherman in nylon case in my messenger bag or backpack
7) LED flashlight in my messenger bag or backpack
8) small first aid kit with bare essentials in my messenger bag or backpack

I have carried #3-8 for most of my adult life...and I have provided them to people in a pinch more times than I can count (obviously not the ID though). The messenger bag/backpack is with me at all times.

I added the gun and extra mag more recently.

A friend laughed at me recently and told me I was missing rope from my gearbag ... I might go with zip-ties instead :)

eaccents, 100' of 550 para cord won't take much more room than your flashlight. LOTS of uses for para cord.

Thanks, Wolfhunter, despite its fabulous pricing (100' for $6.99 @ Cabela's) I think that's a little too much to carry. Maybe I'll just put some into my trunk .... :)

I carry too much crap and it never ceases to get on my nerves. About the only thing I do differently from most is that I don't carry a wallet on my immediate person. I keep my driver's license and concealed carry permits in a separate flip-open leather card holder. It's thin, light, easy to carry and always in my pocket, along with a small lockout blade. I hate carrying a wallet and haven't done so for decades; with a full-size .45 on my hip, the addition of a heavy wallet (and keys) would simply pull my pants down around my ankes. Not a pretty sight, although it just might scare off potential BGs.

I do routinely carry a soft leather briefcase (my "manpurse", as my wife calls it), and that's where all the rest of the crap resides.

That is what the knife lanyard is made of

It gives me 6ish feet of 550 lb tensile strength nylon cord that I can use for lots of stuff in a pinch. Good Catch Wolfhunter!!!

I have @ 10' on the handle of my Bolo machete, and another 8' on a RAT Izula knife
