Dad who shot up his daughters laptop gets visited by the authorities.

I thought it was a really great way to get his point across to his daughter, she was probably one of those that would not listen to her parents, you can't disipline a kid any more if you do your the bad parent.

What I want to know is how he was identified. Maybe he should be more careful if it is that easy for people to find out who you are on the internet

The only thing I would have done differently is not shoot the computer. But that's because I don't want to destroy something I paid so much for to begin with. I would have chosen a route that didn't cost me so much money to possibly replace later.

It probably would have been better if he would have filmed himself 'donating' the laptop to some charity or goodwill center.
Just as effective i.m.o.

Yep, those idiot liberals trying to protect children form adults who should not be parents in the first place.

Here's another hero for you:

Ohio dad put son in dryer as punishment, police say

Oh wait, he's not a "hero" because he didn't shot the dryer while his kid was being punished in it.

Man... my sister and I did that when we were kids. I thought it was cool! She puked in the dryer. Hey... maybe that's how Mom found out.

I think he introduced himself in the video. Or maybe his daughter outed him as HER revenge on him. Their relationship is going to be a never ending downward spiral until one of them decides to be an adult and start to treat the other with respect. What a shame. The most precious years they have to spend together and the two of them are at each others throats.

Where was the daughter harmed or threatened with harm? How can you compare it to sticking a kids in a dryer? What rationale are you trying to use here?

I think most people were only turned off by the shooting of the lap top, if he had used say a knife or a hammer it would have been better...Wait a minute, where have I heard that before....LMAO

Seriously though, I think most people were turned off by the shooting

NOT my hero.

I said from the beginning, that this guy was an overbearing a-hole, and that while his daughter was behaving badly, her "offense" was nothing more than childish words spoken by a child.

I've also said that his response was over the top...barely-controlled rage from a jerk who had his ego bruised. And that there were probably serious underlying family issues.

Firearms have many valid purposes. The intimidation of one's teenage daughter is NOT a valid purpose, no matter how badly the daughter embarrassed you on Facebook.

Are you really comparing someone who physically abused their kid to Tommy Jordan? As far as I can tell, the only thing he physically abused was a laptop.

That kind of gross exaggeration makes it hard for me to take you seriously.

Both men exhibited a childlike approach to problem solving. Both are in need of counseling as to parenting.

In NYS it is a felony to drive while impaired with children in the car. It doesn't matter that none were harmed. The law punishes the inappropriate conduct, not the result.

The same is true of parenting. We don't have to wait until a [parent actually harms a child if they behave in a manner that raises questions about their parenting skills.

In a way, the incident will be a benefit to both the parent and the child if the parent learns effective parenting skills.

Remember our hero 'Tommy Jordan'?
Well, numerous LibTards 'complained' to both Law Enforcement officials & Child Protective Services.
It seems that the Fascist LibTards don't quite agree with Mr. Jordans disciplinary methods towards his disrespectful daughter.

Tommy Jordan Says Police and Child Protective Services Questioned Him | TheBlaze.com
I was recently contacted by someone with a photo of their fourteen-year-old pointing a Glock at his sister. The mother, who is divorced from the person contacting me, took the photo, posted it on facebook with the caption "duck."

CPS and the police refused to investigate.

Typical strawman argument.

Let me get this right? Are you saying that one person (14 year old) pointed a firearm at his sister, then mom took a picture and posted it as if some kind of joke and thought it was funny? How stupid is that of a parent? Sounds like dad needs to have a serious conversation with mom. That would be far more extreme than a parent shooting a laptop. IMO.

I for one loved the video.

I grew up in a family of cops and ex Marines and let me tell you about "abuse". My father used to flip the whole bed if he felt that sleeping past noon was wrong. I used to have to go outside EVERY DAY and do work outside. When I turned 15 and a half I was told I had to go get a job and a week later I was working at Dairy Queen and having to walk to work 1 mile both ways daily along with my other chores. That was abuse, but I now have a STRONG work ethic and have a good job and a great family, things might be better if we get te idiot out of the WH. And all this I owe to my parents pushing and on occasion smacking me upside the head to get me to think straight. If any kid thinks that had it bad answer this. One time I was driving on the interstate here in Ohio. I was driving 110 in a construction 55. I see red and blue lights, a Ohio State Trooper, and I pull over. By the time he makes it to my car he is laughing and I can hear my mother screaming over the radio to not give me a ticket but to escort me to the station for my punishment. I was 19 years old. I would have rather gone to jail for cop killing than go to the police station. So what would your parents have done to you?

I guess you have to wear panties to get them in a bunch....

funny how mom must have agreed with it all, she asked for one to be put in the laptop for her as well.
