According to the latest poll results by the Siena College Research Institute, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has seen his favorability rating increase to its highest level since February, as well as increases in his job performance rating and the percentage of voters prepared to re-elect him.

I just got this in a Government Affairs Update in a professional association newsletter. Meanwhile, the populous, especially those who believe that Cuomo is out to further infringe on ALL of our freedoms, has all but forgotten what they did earlier this year. Limiting 2A rights, scouring medical records for the purpose of revoking permits(violating privacy rights), etc, etc, etc.

He's been campaigning already with upstate trips, TV commercials...

We need to remind the citizens of this state that he CANNOT be re-elected. We need to get our voices heard...AGAIN!!! WE NEED TO BECOME VOCAL AGAIN!!!

Unfortunately JRS is correct. Cuomo is getting re-elected. Upstate doesn't have an enough GOP population to offset the liberal mindset in NYC and Albany. And the GOP doesn't have a viable candidate. States like NY need to implement an electoral college form of voting. Let each county have a weight and a candidate either wins or loses the county vote. Those of us in upstate NY are disenfranchised in every state or national election. Or... NYC could secede and create their own state. I'd like that even more.

wow, that is a great idea, states like NY, Mass, CA, IL wouldn't be so screwed up because the political process is overwhelmed by the masses of morons in the urban centers, this is something to ponder more deeply

One time I was with Rep. John Hall, (formerly of the band Orleans), a democrat, and we were talking about the inequality between city and country folks. He said the answer is that people need to forget about living in the country and move to cities where public transportation and good utility services are available. Now I'm a country guy. Lived in the sticks almost my entire adult life. I don't want to live in a city. Hell, I don't even want a neighbor that I can see. I don't want to take the bus. In fact I want to live on a road that sees four or five cars daily. He was spouting off about ways to reduce the impact of rising gas prices. He was driving a highbred SUV. I calculated the difference in prices of the vehicles against the improved mileage and found he had to drive the car 160,000 miles to break-even. These guys just don't get it. Anyway, he didn't get re-elected. Now he's free to go hang-out with his nutso buddy David Crosby.

Unfortunately I believe the majority of New Yorkers could not care less about guns. It is not part of their culture so the antis get joined by the "why should I care" crowd. Only a major tragedy like Katrina would force people in NY to realize self defense is important.

Years ago there was an "ABC" chant for his father: Anyone But Cuomo. Shown his frothing mouth rant against guns would probably turn off even non gun owners.

But they don't. They find reasons not to vote when their candidate drops-out during primaries. And so we got another four years of Obama who is now unleashing powers not granted through the constitution. Hill-Billary waits in the wings to continue the destruction of our rights. These people are dangerous to freedom. Anyone remember what Obama said at inauguration? "we're going to fundamentally change America." He doesn't have the power or authority granted by the constitution to fundamentally to do this.

When he spoke in Buffalo the other day, he again stated that if he can't get things done through Congress, he'd do it alone... AGAIN. WHEN WILL SOMEBODY GET THE STONES TO CHALLENGE HIS VIOLATIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION???

Most of what this idiot has implemented has been by executive fiat, not by the wishes of the Citizens. He has led by edict, shoving his socialist crap down our throat.
He is under the false impression the we, the great unwashed, are not capable of making our own decisions...this is a further, more aggressive implementation of the liberal agenda expressed by Bill and Hillary years ago. You may remember Bill and Hillary saying why they couldn't reduce tax rates... they said 'if he as Pres lowered tax rates, this WOULD put more money in the average persons pocket.... but they wouldn't spend it "right". In other words, we stupid people would just go buy things that we decide we actually need instead of the govt telling us what we should buy (ei. Obamacare health insurance).
