Lets get real..... It doesn't matter what the majority of the state thinks!!! Most of the state is red, but the blues control the major metropolitan areas including NYC, Buffalo and Rochester, which by the way, have the highest numbers of Low Information Voters (and welfare, food stamp, Medicaid, etc, etc, etc) who will ALWAYS vote to keep THEIR BENEFITS!!!
In the major cities...especially in Western NY, when a child is born, they hand the parents 3 documents...dependent on neighborhood... In working class neighborhoods the first is your birth certificate, second is the Democratic registration card and the last is a Union card. Along with the union card are instructions on how to get a union job that will allow you to live off the taxpayer during your working years, retire in your 50's or earlier(some are 20yrs and out)...then get another public job while collecting your pension...all at 70% of your last 3 years or highest paying years.
In other neighborhoods, the last document isn't a union card, its a public benefits card. This one's a free pass to medical care, food, etc, etc, etc, along with a manual on how to keep and maximize those benefits for generations to come. The first line in the manual says....No matter what...VOTE DEMOCRAT!!! If you don't, you'll lose your EBT(food stamps) card, have to pay co-pays, lose your obamaphone, your subsidized rent....
Now, Emperor Cuomo will list his "accomplishments"... a "Tax Cap" which limits municipalities to 2% tax increases, while costs increase at 4 to 5% for supplies they need to provide services, health care costs for employees increase at 5 to 10% per year, etc, all while the State mandates increased benefits that the Cities and Counties must pay for. Cuomo will then campaign on his record of "limiting state taxes". In addition, he's running commercials on how many businesses have opened in the state....what a joke...new business filings are up throughout the state, it's true....BUT... most of those filings are Sole Proprietors (in Red areas) who lost their jobs because the state drove large companies either out of business or out of the state through excessive taxation and/or regulation. His entire Governorship is a sham!
The entire state economy and it's cities are in financial ruin due to liberal tax & spend policies for 50 years.
Now, he's out there telling us how much safer we are because of his gun control law. It's all rhetoric aimed at higher office.
He doesn't even know existing gun law while out there spewing his rhetoric. IE: he's out there yelling "nobody needs 20 rounds to kill a deer", but NY gun laws already on the books state you cannot have anything larger than a 5 round magazine while hunting. Plus, under the new "SAFE Act" putting that 8th round in a mag is actually a more serious offense than 'child molestation' in the State of NY.
He (and Bloomberg) are out to limit our Constitutional Rights....and they don't care if they violate one to enforce the other.
For example, he created a clandestine unit within the Justice/State Police Dept's which secretly and ILLEGALLY scoured private 'digital' medical records for certain medications, then cross-referenced that list against pistol permits, resulting in an attempt to revoke permits. He found it perfectly OK to violate the 4th Amendment in his zeal to take away our 2nd Amendment rights. It was only through the efforts of the Tresmond Law firm, that he's been held in check so far.
It's no wonder his "popularity" has dropped.... He's underestimated the reasoning power of the red parts of the state. I just hope the reasoning power of the red parts of the state translates to votes against the Emperor and his minions in future elections.
