Apparently our pal Cuomo isn’t stopping with assault weapons -
He is now proposing outlawing the plea bargaining of speeding tickets, a practice that brings tons of money into the municipalities (in some cases millions a year). It also helps drivers – they still pay the fine but keep points off their license, keeping their insurance rates down. This new law would funnel the money away from the towns and (you guessed it) to the State.

Cuomo’s stated and published reason for changing the law?
Why, to make the highways safer for the people of course.

“It’s for the children”, in statist lingo.

This guy makes Obama look like Ted Nugent.

Hell the simple salution is to just BAN/outlaw all the politicians.
Think of the money we'd save.
No more outlandish salaries, paid vacations, "private security teams". Thats just the begining.

Yeah I missed the mark a little - according to my local rag, the law would apply only to tickets where the speed limit was exceeded by 20 miles per hour. Nevertheless, the local authorities are up in arms about it. They depend quite a bit on those funds, especially when they're trying to keep the tax increases under the cap.

The new $80.00 surcharge applies to ANY PARKING TICKET issued in NY state. Slid through in his new budget.
Moving & equipmental violations had this surcharge previously. This is NEW - for parking tickets.
