I have used Crossbreed holsters for serveral years now, one with Colt NiteLite 380 and the other with a SIG229. I have been real happy with them, very comfortable, holding up very well, just a great overall hoster. Nothing new, it is the number 1 holster for CCW on the poll. Crossbreed Holsters
I recently traded for a Kimber Ultra CDP and a friend of mine had a White Hat holster that he was not using anymore ( he is a cop and decided to use his Kimber as his primary, so he open carries it) so I bought the WH from him. I had problems with this holster as when I tried to draw it, the front site would hang up. I contacted WH and they admitted that this had been a problem and they no longer molded them the same way so this was no longer a problem. They suggested a heat gun to reform the channel for the front site. It took about 5 min total time and the problem was fixed, nice smooth draw now. No problems during the day as I work in a A/C office, but the weekend posed another problem. Working outside I was sweating and now the butt of the gun against my skin was getting wet, so what to do about that? I did not want to wear a t-shirt under my outer shirt,so that was out. (This is also a problem with CB holsters also) White Hat Holsters
Enter the N82. I saw this holster recommened in a thread here on this site so I looked it over and decided to give it a try. (I bought the Pro model) I have worn this holster for 12 hours per day for last 3 days and it works great. Took a few times to get it adjusted so it felt comfortable and had the correct cant. No more sweat getting on my gun and it also holds the gun more securily than the Crossbreed or the White Hat does. It snaps in very securily and you have to give the gun a slight twist to remove it, becomes second nature fairly quick so this is not a problem. It is not as concealed as the CB or WH as you do have the thickness of the holster behind the grip, so it does not fit up against your body quite as tight, but not all that bad either. I can wear a one size over t-shirt and it conceals very well. I have also worn my 5.11 concealed shirts and the N82 works great under them also. N82 Tactical
Crossbreed, White Hat, N82, they are all very good holsters and you cant go wrong with either of them. Depending on the situation I will continue to use all 3 of them, but if I had to choose only one, it would be the N82.
