Coyote hunting in colorado

You can hunt then with a small game license. There is no limit and the season is all year round. What I want to know is I've been told you can shoot them and leave them there. Is this true, what are there responsibilities after you shoot them in colorado?

I do not have names for you, but there are places that buy the hides. WARNING! Do not skin the animals, I am told that these places want to do the skinning themselves to avoid cuts.

Is the amount they pay for the hides worth the trouble?

JMO but I never go with "I've been told" I want to see a statute in writing (not from you but just in general). Also I would ask the owner of the land I was hunting on what they wanted me to do.

I haven't hunted coyotes for decades, but I used to get $100 a pelt if I skinned my own. Lately I heard that the price is around $35. PETA and its gang have ruined the pelt market. (I'm in NY state)

This is true, but you should comply with the landowner's wishes if you hunt private property. Coyotes are considered a nuisance, so the Colorado DPOW makes it easy to hunt them. Here is a link to Link Removed.

I have been thinking of hunting coyotes. Have seen some tracks. I have even seem them in town, Centennial area.
