Conspiracy against the .32 acp?

Is there a conspiracy against the .32 acp in the USA? Bersa has discontinued importing the Bersa Thunder .32 and I hear that CZ is discontinuing production on the CZ 83 .32 acp. IMO the .32 is a good handgun, it excelled in Europe for many years. It is especially good for people who are recoil sensitive as it has little recoil. I carry my .32 at times and feel confident it will protect me. The .32 is also a good round for women looking for their first carry gun.

So why are gun makers stopping the distribution/production of the .32 acp in 3.5 barrels? It seems the pocket .32's are available but doesn't make sense to stop the other .32's

Anyone have any comments?

i also heard.....(read somewhere), that the manufacture of .32 ammunition is going to be discontinued. i hope not. i have a .32 auto that dad brought home from ww II that is a wonderful shooter. it was made by fn but has german army markings on it. i take it out and shoot it a couple of times a year and would hate to not be able to find ammo for it.

I could see never making a .25 acp again, to me it's the most useless caliber ever made. But the .32 is a good round. I find it hard to believe they will stop selling .32 ammo because the smaller .32's still sell well. However, it may make me decide to stock up on more .32 ammo.

I like .32acp, it's might not be a "man-stopper" as you typically think of them... but they can do the job if used by the right person. Hell, even if it isn't the right person... a hit can be deadly from anybody. I hope they keep selling it, if not I'll have to reload .32...

They're great for smaller shooters or introducing people to handguns... a step up from a .22lr I suppose.

When James Bond switched from .32 to .380 was the turning point. The .32 just wasn't reliable against men armed with AK's. The .380 was much better.

Conspiracy

Bond did well with the .32 I believe that the .32 will defeat bad guys who bother you. I have a .380 and 9mm if needed also, but my .32 will hurt you. Many bad guys get worried when you pull a gun. If they don't and keep coming then put a double tap in center mass.

Bond using a .380acp...? Even as late as Goldeneye Bond used the .32acp... Valentin Dmitrovich Zukovsky said after Bond pulled the gun on him in his club, "7.65mm, only three such men use such a gun... I believe I've killed two of them." 7.65mm is .32 caliber... that's what his PPK was. After the PPK in Goldeneye Bond picked up the P99 in Tomorrow Never Dies, then in Casino Royal Bond was back to the PPK... I would have to assume it was the original .32acp...
