Excellent Eagleeyes!! I read your other posts and was concerned that you weren't going to get that.
I've had my CCW here in FL since April 2000. I'm happy for you.

Now all you have to do is win that giveaway and you'll be all set. I'm hoping you get it. I certainly don't need it. I've got everything thing I need. Good luck!!

Congrats

What will you carry?

hopefully that giveaway gun with the crimson laser light!!!!!!!!! if not i will look into buying one like it someday.... meanwhile i have my old browning but it's hard to conceal in tropical climate and probably won't wear it much because it's got such a big butt and not easy to conceal on my body although i do practice carrying it around the house and drawing from a holster rig a friend lent me till i get my own stuff.......i live in hot as heck south florida and i like to wear skimpy clothing in this kind of hot humid weather and skimpy clothing is not an option with such a big butted gun but if i'm going out at night and have an extra shirt on i will carry it on occasion til i get a more concealable gun and when i do i will probably carry every day except maybe to the beach if i going in the water....oh hot diggity i'm excited and relieved to know the permit is on it's way! hurray!!!!!!!!!!!! i have a cool training class scheduled july 8th with tactical scenarios which will be really fun and show me what i got and what i need to work on tactical wise and look forward to that so another giant step for this woman kind heheh
peace and thank you all for the well wishes and congrats....just taking the steps needed as i travel my path to conceal carrying step by step day by day
thanks to all for your kind hearted and wonderful support
blessed be

Congrats! I'm still waiting (over 11 weeks) for my FL non resident. My small town police chief screwed-up both print cards, and I have to wait on a superviser to make a decision.

Someone is excited ;)

There are many options for carrying in your tropical climate. Think outside the box

I'll be on vacation to myrtle beach next month and I have several options for my Beretta 92 FS

Try to stay dry & say HI to Bebra for me

i don't know about taking a gun to the beach esp if you intend on going in the water? where would you stow your gun when you go in the water? would you put it in your vehicle or have someone you go with keep an eye on your belongings ? i don't think i would want to leave my gun in someones possession while swimming in the water but that's just me

Not while on the beach, it will stay in the RV. We walk to the beach

But anywhere else I'll have it in my conceal holster or fanny pack.

I'm not a big fan of fanny packs but they sure work well for conceal carry in hot weather.

fanny pack.....i bought one when i went to the gun show but it's too big and bulky for my tastes but will wear it at times if need be, it holds my big butted browning in ok it's a medium size fanny pack.. but it's just still too big and bulky ...i have practiced pulling my gun from it and still not the quickness or quiet way i would like for it to be but still an option if all else fails

I have the galco waist pack or whatever it's called. It's specifically made for CCW and the draw is pretty dang quick considering what it is.

Pull the draw string with left hand and draw handgun with right hand.

wishing you all the best , some places can send your fingerprints through cyber technology ..i done my the old fashioned way but there are offices that have the equipment to just press your fingers on a pad and it auto sends them to which ever department........if it's just a finger print thing it should be no sweat but perhaps take a lil longer......patience is a virtue......let us know when it's clear and on the way meanwhile practice your firearm skills if you need to ......

mine is like that too with the quick open pull cord but the unzip makes too much noise i think if i needed to be discreet and still i can draw quicker with a holster but it will do if i have no other carry option in a pinch........
be safe
