Chicago runs Illinois. I'm from Chicago and can tell you the view of guns in Chicago is utterly schizophrenic. I actually know people there who BOTH support Chicago's gun laws AND illegally own guns. Chicago (and Illinois) is so used to corruption, oppression and having rights reduced to privileges bought and sold, that concealed carry will NEVER be voted in in Illinois. If Illinois EVER gets concealed carry, it will be by virtue of SCOTUS decision. That's the ONLY reason why Chicago and its suburbs no longer have their handgun bans.

Yes good luck Illinois hope you get it and I laugh because everyone says that Illinois is the only state without CCW and technically that is true. We all know that New Jersey is impossible unless you are retired LE or need it for the type of work you do and even so after hours you are not a loud to carry. You need a good reason to carry here in The People’s Republic of New Jersey and its unfortunate self-defense isn’t one of them. Democrats and the bad guys rule the roost here. Guess this bill didn't die a quiet death earlier in the year as it seemed to have done.

This current version doesn't have reciprocity covered anywhere that I can find, though it does have provisions for non-resident licenses.

I posted a link to the results of the vote on this yesterday, but the Admin must not have thought it should have been here the vote failed by 3 votes. Illinois continues to be above the United States Constitution... so much for the free country that everyone takes for granted....
