Concealed holster complaint

So I bought a barsony leather concealment holster for inside my waste band for my sig p938. It's a decent holster quality wise and the gun fits and comes out fine, but I cannot put my pistol back in after I pull it out. When I try it my slide just tries to slide back. I just want to know if it's just me or what because I do have a problem with this happening.

You may need to break the leather in (same idea as breaking in a new baseball glove). Use some sort of a leather conditioner on it, to soften the leather and keep your firearm in it overnight to stretch the leather. If this does not help, get a clean rag (big enough to wrap around the gun once) and put the rag around the gun and place it into the holster overnight. This should stretch the holster just a bit making it easier to use.

The other thing is your belt may be too tight, so when you go to put the gun back in, it is squeezing the holster shut.

I hope this helps... if not, let us know what you've tried and I'm sure someone will come up with another suggestion for you.

Good luck.

I use the Barsony holster also and ya you just have the belt a little tight so just pull the holster out and the insert your pistol the put back inside waist band. The other thing I had had some success with is hold your thumb on the back of the slide when you insert your pistol.

You also won't have to worry about those pesky extra 9 rounds, and since a round cylinder will lie flatter against your body...... Wait, I'll stick with my semi auto

I am more concerned with being able to draw my Glock in a speedy and efficient manner. Getting it back in the holster, not so much.

Not knowing what pistol you are using, this may or may not help.
I have a Ruger LC 380 and when I insert it into the holster I first snap the safety on. That will lock the slide. Then when it is in I slip the safety off.

Did you actually read the OP's post? He said quite clearly that he carries the Sig P938.

Gee! is that what he said????

Nasty on the forums much? 5 posts, 3.5 years. I hope if this is the type of response you give when someone mildly corrects you, that you keep posting as infrequently as you do.

It's not the number of posts that count,it's the quality of the post....LOL

From The Gun Digest Book of Sig-Sauer: A Complete Look At Sig-Sauer Pistols
By Massad Ayoob "The thumb on the back of the slide holds the slide forward, preventing a tight holster from pushing the slide back and out of battery"

When I holster, I put my thumb on the back of the slide. Not worried about the gun going out of battery as the purpose is that it takes my hand off the grip safety.

I carry either a Springfield Armory XDS or XD40sc.

I sure am glad this is a virtual community! Based on some of the responses I'm seen lately, if we were all in a room together, I'm afraid the body count would be growing quickly! Calm down, take a breath, relax...

You are exactly why I do not post much!!!!

lol

I did not know I was that important to your decision making process.

So I've seen three of your six posts and two have been rather pointed and nasty. So my original point is valid.

What - you can't handle a little criticism? All I did was point out that the OP provided the make and model of his firearm, and you came back with the same snarky kind of response I would expect from a teen.

Grow up.

I had the same problem with my Desantis 106 I had some wax I got at a Publix baking or candy. I rubbed it on the inside of the holster. Problem solved and it had a side benefit of keeping the sweat from the gun.
