I am new to usa carry and have a question regarding cc permits. My wife and I live in Wisconsin. Can't wait for the law to go into effect allowing concealed carry. I digress... What state(s) has a concealed carry permit the is recognized in the most states? Thus far looking at current publishings WI permit will only be recognized in WI and Iowa. Thanks for any help in this.

Look into Utah and Florida. Those two together will give you about 31 or 32 states I think. Might be up to 33 by now, but not entirely sure. (I have Mass and Utah, but not yet Florida.

Important to note - as a Wisconsin resident you will still need a Wisconsin permit to carry in your home state.

Right off the bat your WI permit will be honored in AZ, IA, ID, KY, MO, MI, OK, SD, TN, VT as each of these states honor ALL other permits.

As already mentioned UT and FL make a good pair, but if FL honors your WI permit then I would look into UT and AZ. AZ is much cheaper than FL with almost identical reciprocity, and UT + AZ renewals combined is cheaper than FL.

I'd go with Utah and Arizona in addition to your Wisconsin permit. Much
cheaper plus you can carry in Nevada with AZ permit. And you won't need
to take another class to get AZ permit; Just having a CCW permit from
another state allows you to get AZ permit.

AZ is cheapest and all you need to apply is your ccw from your state, you need to find the state that gives you the most as a non resident, you are looking in a good place on this site for the information you need.

Hopefully your Attorney General will work toward getting Reciprocal Agreements with as many States as he can. Michigan has been very proactive at this and has the best coverage, in my opinion, of any State in the Union. Unfortunately they don't issue non-resident permits. Hopefully Wisconsin will be the next State that I can legally carry in.
